Ruby... or was she back to being Red now? Who knew and who cared! Deposited in some desolate forest with scattered remains of what appeared to be a once elegant castle, Ruby had been utterly and completely lost. She had spent a few weeks wandering around the dead forest attempting to find some semblance of life... but everything had been vacant, even the scents that managed to reach her were unfamiliar. Days turned to weeks, and weeks into a few months before she stumbled upon a small town. A quick mention of Snow White and Prince Charming and their newly rebuilt kingdom and Ruby could not be deterred.
She was covered in mud and God only knew what else, but damn it, she needed to see Snow with her own two eyes, she needed to know that her very best friend and all of her family was alive and well and even if she had to clean the muck off of the immaculate tiles herself, not the foulest flames of hell were going to deter her from finding Snow. As she reached the castle, she barely sparred it a second glance. Greeting with a quick bob of her head the few guards that recognized her, she blew through the main entrance and followed her nose.
The overwhelming smell of a great feast brought the sound of a hundred cheering voices to her and she broke out into a run. The long red cloak billowing out behind her. No longer enchanted, but her signature piece. A smile broke out across her face and excitement bubbled up through her veins. Snow was just beyond those doors, all of her friends, maybe even Granny, how long had it been? How long did it seem? Months? Years?
Proper etiquette be damned, Red pushed open one of the magnificent doors using all of her strength. In her haste she stumbled into the main room, emerald eyes wildly searching for familiar faces.
"Snow!" Her best, of course, was always first in Ruby's mind but the rest were quick to follow, and as her eyes fell on Snow, she was afraid her face might just crack from the smile that split across it.

Snow was sitting in her quarters staring out the window in one of her Storybrooke clothing. Her brown eyes stared out the window watching her people pass and come and go as they pleased. Moments later she decided to head out into the hallway and she paused in her tracks.
Hearing her name being called she turned her head. "Red!" she said as she came towards her. Wrapping her arms around her she smiled happily. "How are you?!" she asked not caring if she was covered in mud. This was her best friend.
"C'mon! Come get warm" she said to her. With an arm around her shoulders she smiled and looked at her. "You need a change of clothing. I have some from Storybrooke" she told her. "You can wear some of mine if you like" she said looking at her.

"Snow!" A wide smile broke across Red's face and suddenly she was sprinting. If Snow didn't mind a little mud than neither did she and without another thought, she coiled her arms around the queen and squeezed with a hidden zeal! "How have you been? Is everyone here? Emma. Charming, Henry? I have missed you so much!" Ruby trapped Snow in another fast hug before she could pull away completely.
Red followed after Snow, trotting along with a smile as the Queen offered her warmth and a change of clothes, and as if realizing for the first time how frozen she was, she shivered and tried to rub a bit of warmth into her arms.
"That sounds lovely, I've gotten a few spare cloaks in the towns I have been in, but I was so determined to make it back here, to home, I really wasn't thinking too much about a change of clothes." She laughed lightly at her own absentmindedness. "Did everybody make it home alright? Is the curse really broken?" Red longed to return home indefinitely but she was afraid this was all some horrible illusion and one day they would all wake back up in storybrooke.
Emma had of course been the key to unlocking the curse, but with Rumple and Regina all returned to their full power... what was to stop it from happening all over again? She glanced over at Snow, excitement covering up the worry in her bright green eyes.
"I'm so glad you're alright Snow!" She hugged Snow's arm tightly to her chest as they walked, she had missed this far too much.

Finally a friend had arrived here in this new land. Her eyes were closed and she wrapped her arms tight around her friend. Using one hand to place upon her muddy hair like she did with Emma. "Oh, Red. I'm so happy your here!" she said softly. "I've been alright. Yes. Everyone's here. Even my daughter and her son" she told her pulling back and smiling. "I missed you too" she said softly.
Leading her towards her quarters she listened to Red speak. "Oh. Alright then" she said smiling. Turning to face her she said nothing for a moment. "Yes, the curse is broken and yes everyone is here. I know it in my daughter's eyes. I knew she'd be the one to break the curse" she said beaming this time.
Snow was overjoyed to hear her friends voice. "And I'm just so happy your here as well" she said giggling. Giving a slight squeeze upon Red's hand. "C'mon, we'll go to my quarters and you can get washed up and into fresh and warmer clothing" she said softly. "Are you hungry at all Red? I can make you something to eat if you want to. I still have Mary Margaret in me" she told her.
Arriving to the bedroom she started picking out a few things for her. "Here are some clothes" she said softly handing a few to her. Then she grabbed a towel and showed her where the bathroom was and the shower. "I'll be in here when your done, and then we can catch up" she said smiling.

Red had a feeling she and Snow were going to be rather jointed at the hip for the next few days, it had been far too long and no doubt Snow would wish to know all about her journey just as she would want to know all about hers. Rebuilding the castle in such a short time must have been no easy task, and Red wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly once more.
"I am grateful to be back! You have no idea Snow! It's taken me forever to get back home, I'm sorry I couldn't be here to help you start rebuilding! The castle looks amazing!" Red complimented quickly gazing at the enormous walls around her, the castle was one of the few places Red had never grown claustrophobic... but even here the urge to run was sometimes uncontainable, but Snow knew that, she knew her better than anyone.
"It seems everyone within your family possesses the remarkable gene of finding one another." Red winked at Snow playfully. "We were right to depend on her, how is she taking to living here instead of Earth? Henry is helping her adjust I hope?" Red smiled encouragingly, she would have to seek out Emma after she got cleaned up...and a bath... a long hot soapy bath.
"Clean, warm clothes! You still know how to make me go weak in the knees Snow!" Red laughed. She couldn't remember the last time she had put on fresh, clean clothes. "Food! Any kind would be lovely, hunting and trapping small animals has been the better part of my diet for the past month so as long as it's not a hare... I will love you still!"
Red cast a glance for the lovely visage that was Snow's quarters, before taking the offered garments with a smile and nodding quickly, retreating towards the shower and shouting over her shoulder.
"You are an angel Snow! I owe you one!"

The smile never left Snow's face as Red spoke to her. Her eyes darted around the castle. "Yes... it does look amazing doesn't it?" she said giving her a small chuckle. Then she looked at her in a friendly way and she squeezed her hand gently. "Oh, don't worry about it dear. Once Charming arrived, I was able to do it easily. There was really nothing that needed to be brought over from Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest. It was no trouble really" she said smiling at her still.
Hearing her words she couldn't help but give a laugh. It was nice to have a friend here and someone to talk to. Other than her daughter and her grandson, and her husband. It was someone new and exciting she hadn't seen in a while. "Alright.." she said giggling. "I'll wait for you of course, before heading to the kitchen" she told her with a small voice. "Now go.. get clean and warm" she said smiling. Red was basically the only friend she really had from the Enchanted Forest.
"Nah, its fine Red. You don't need to owe me anything. What are friends fore?" she asked gently. Once Red was gone she continued to be around her quarters waiting for Red to return to come back and head then head towards the kitchen.

Ruby groaned as she stepped into the bath, scrubbing the dirt and grime from her smooth flesh. She had her fair share of scars but the majority of them made her smile. Helping Snow, defending the realm, aiding Charming back in Storybrooke... Red wouldn't trade her friendship with Snow for any power in the world or any other. Her friends were simply too precious to her. She shook herself out of her musings and quickly dried off, smiling as she glimpsed at the red highlights, still lighting her hair, perhaps this realm thought they were fitting. She tugged on the clothes Snow had given her and opened the door to once more greet her best friend.
"Truly? The curse did not destroy the castle? That is wonderful! Was the rest of the kingdom in its proper order as well?" Ruby wondered if Granny was still caring for the Inn. Ahh well these were questions to be asked later, at least she had Snow back and for this moment, that was enough. With a squeal of delight she shot across the room and damn near tackled the woman.
"You have no idea how good it is to see you... I'll probably be randomly intruding on your life for the next few weeks!" Ruby giggled animatedly wondering how the rest of her friends would react to seeing her again, she could only imagine that she wasn't the first to get dumped somewhere she had never been. There were probably still stragglers struggling to make it back home... perhaps Ruby could start tracking them down. Her wolf senses made tracking one hell of a lot easier.
"Oh tell me everything that I've missed on the way to the kitchen! I'm famished and I simply must have some of your food my dear because if memory serves back in the old days, it was I that did the majority of the cooking!" Ruby teased Snow mercilessly but she knew Snow could dish just as much as Ruby herself and it was simply too good to be home for her to resist!

While she waited for Ruby to come out of the restroom she paced for a moment. For a while she made everything neat and organized again. Hearing Ruby speak she turned and smiled. "I'm glad they fit you Ruby, I was slightly concerned about it" she said grinning. Then she closed her eyes. "The curse did destroy the castle, just a little. But with Charming's help and with the dwarves, we managed to fix it. It was an easy fix" she told her with a light voice. Then she blinked and fell to the floor when Ruby tackled her.
A small giggle escaped Snow and she wrapped her arms around her. She loved Ruby like a sister and the two had been best friends ever since her time in the forest in the enchanted forest. Snow looked at her and smiling. "Don't worry about it. You're never an intruder. Charming and I will always welcome you into our home" she told her smiling. Then she stood and fixed the shirt she wore and smiling.
Snow smiled a bit more and then she giggled.Linking arms with her friend as they left the room and she giggled. "I know, Mary Margaret taught me how to cook things on my own. The servants here are very shocked that I can cook for my self" she said rolling her eyes. "What do you want to know Ruby?" she asked curiously.

Ruby clung to Snow's arm like a vice. So excited was she to finally be among friends again that she could scarcely contain herself. Her hair still had hints of red strung throughout it and she still looked more like Ruby than Red, but it would fade in time and while she hadn't changed too terribly much in the move, it was still odd to have the memories of two individuals... it got quite confusing at times.
"I'm glad you were able to return home with little strife. I noticed several of your subjects have settled in nicely on the way here." She had the decency to blush slightly and her eyes darted away as she murmured out the next part. "Although I may have to apologize to quite a few. Some tried to greet me but I was hell bent and determined to come see you first so I may have brushed them off." Ruby looked slightly embarrassed but then smiled brightly. "A few free rounds at the Inn should appease the majority of them though!"
She smiled and her heart warmed at the thought of seeing Charming and Snow together once more. Their time at Storybrooke had torn them apart, with Charming in a coma, and then breaking Snow's heart after he woke up... it was a bit too much for Snow to handle and despite the fact that neither were themselves it still broke Ruby's heart to think of such things. If there were two individuals more deserving of love then those two, you would be hard pressed to find them.
"I will have to find Charming and say hello... although I can say I will miss him coming to find me in Storybrooke, it's quite funny to watch the sheriff burst into the cafe and shout "Red... I need your nose!" Red laughed out loud, she was fairly useful in a crime scene, you could cover up finger prints and blood stains, but scents were hard to cover.
"Snow...cooking? You must have given the chef a heart attack the first time you took one of his pans! How ever did you convince him to let you cook?" Ruby laughed loudly, leaning into Snow to show that she was only teasing. "And I want to hear about everyone! How is Emma fairing? Is she and Henry settling in well?"

Snow looked over at her and smiled a bit. "If you need any more clothing Ruby feel free to rade my closet" she said giggling. "I know you probably don't have your own things here yet, but yea..it seems you are the same size" she said chuckling a bit.
Hearing her words she giggled and she nodded. Snow looked at her and she grinned. "I know I said this already , but I can't stop saying. I'm so happy your here!" she said squealing a bit. "Charming is out right now doing other things. Probably serving the town and things. He'll be back later tonight" she informed.
Blinking she entered the kitchen with her and she smiling. "Charming explained it to him" she said winking lightly. "Everyone is well Ruby, thank you for asking. Henry's taking it all very well. Happy we are once again a family" she said. After making something she placed it on the table. Still standing behind it. "As for Emma..." she sighed. "I'm not sure, I thinks he's taking it well" she told her. "But I'm afraid to reveal everything" she looked down and played with her meal for a moment. "Want anything to drink Ruby?" She asked looking up at her. Trying to change the subject upon Emma.

Ruby laughed lightly, leaning into Snow and resting her head upon her shoulder. She made a mental note to invade the castle whenever the fancy struck her. She missed the playful banter, the shared jokes... the teasing of how fat she had gotten as she swelled with a babe inside of her. Snow of curse took it in stride and more often than not harassed Ruby right back, but such was their friendship. It was one of the many reasons why they were so close. She had missed the woman terribly and whether she was Queen or a lonely soul wandering about the woods, Red loved her the same.
"As if I need permission to raid your closet! If I so desire one of your beautifully crafted dresses I shall simply take it! If I recall correctly I can remember you prancing about in my cloak more times than one!" Ruby laughed lightly, hugging her around the waist, giggling softly all the while. "As for your lovely husband I doubt he will be so exuberant to see me! I am curious how many times I have stopped him from having you because I swept you away on some adventure!"
A vast majority of the time when Snow had vanished without a word from the castle, she had left to seek out Ruby... or Ruby had merely stolen her away with whispered words of rumors or dangers inhabiting the castle. Snow had a hard time saying no when Ruby pleaded for an adventuring companion... not that Red was any less susceptible to Snow's pleading eyes. Usually when they got in trouble, the other had something to do with the folly. It was rare the two were ever idle, unless a series manner presented itself, in that case Red was the first to volunteer as an extra bodyguard.
"I figured that Henry would have no trouble adjusting... boy takes to magic and fairy tales like the proverbial duck to water! I will have a chat with Emma for you! She got to know me quite well in Storybrooke and perhaps a semi-familiar face would do her good!" Ruby tried to give Snow a bit of hope with a wide smile and soft eyes. Ruby let the topic drop realizing it was spearing her best friend. "No m'dear! I think I shall lay off the liquor! I was running the bar with Granny a few nights back and had scarcely a drink and wound up in some gentleman's bed." As soon as the words flew from her mouth, her hands shot up to slap over her lips... oh... she was so screwed.

It was really nice to hear her laugh again. Snow smiled when she did and she giggled a bit as well. Loving the fact that she was here with her. It would be a lot easier now for Snow to be with someone she knew fairly well more than the others. They had a special friendship and she didn't want to lose that. Once Ruby came out and linked arms with her she smiled a bit and started to work her way down the hall.
Making a playful face she smirked a bit and giggled. "Well I didn't have anything else really. Minus my hunting outfit you remember yes?" she said looking over at her. "I was living in the woods then and I loved your cloak. it was so warm" she teased a bit. "You saved my life more than once Ruby" she said in a soft voice looking at her. "He'll get over it sooner or later" she said winking. "I need an adventure as it is in some point in my life" she told her as they walked.
Snow knew her secret of being a werewolf, and she had hired her to be an extra bodyguard since then. Even Charming said it was appropriate for he knew how special she was to Snow and everything. Smiling she let go of her and made some food for the both of them. Standing behind the counter she looked upon her with a small smile. Snow looked at her and nodded when she mentioned Henry's adjusting to his new family.
"I know he's a very smart boy. And I gave him that book of fairytales for a reason. It always brightened up his day in class and sometimes during recess" she told her. "Also now that we know who we are, he knows who his true family is as well" she told her softly. Picking at her food she took a bit and she looked at her. "Thank you Ruby. I know I should be telling her the one why the curse happened. Why everything was the way it is and such...but I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of commitment yet" she said sighing.
Then she gave a little laugh. "How is your grandmother anyway? Where is she?" she asked looked at her. "C'mon now i'm sure a little drink won't hurt?" she said teasingly. "But alright. I won't push you" she said going back to her food and taking a sip of her drink.

Ruby sat back, stretching out her spine to be rid of all the kinks and stiffness that had accumulated in the tense muscles, it had been far too long since she had enjoyed Snow's company. They very rarely had gone a day without at least speaking a quick hello to one another, and even back in Storybrooke, when they had forgotten one another entirely, more often than not, Ruby had found herself leaning over the counter as Mary had told her about the school, or the children... a smile pulled at her mouth at that thought. It would seem they would be inseparable no matter what life they shared.
"Snow! I am always up for an adventure with you! If I thought your Prince would not hunt me down, I just might whisk you away and never return you! I miss having you all to myself... except for bathing in the rivers... I could live the rest of my life quite happily never bathing in a river again!" Red chuckled quietly, remembering when they had been forced to actually crack the ice, to get the trolls blood off and out of their hair, a slight grimace crossed her face at that memory.
"Emma understands Snow, she knows you and Charming had no choice. It just takes Emma a bit to adjust to change. Not only is Snow White her mom... but now she finds out she heir to a kingdom. That can't be an easy switch for anyone. Give her a bit of time Snow and I'm sure she will coming to you to fill in the blanks. If there's anyone who likes to understand something as thoroughly as you...it's your daughter." Red smiled encouragingly, hoping her words at least brought her some kind of comfort. The familiar mischievous grin was back, green eyes alight with fire as Snow teased her about the wine.
"Oh very well! Get me drunk Snow! Have your wicked way with me!" Ruby laughed lightly, her eyes sparkling as Snow returned with food and sat to join her. "And no chastising me for sleeping with someone I was not wed too? How un-Snow like of you!" She teased her mercilessly, but quickly sobered up, the smile dropping from her face and a more serious expression crossing her eyes as she leaned forward. She worried her bottom lip between her teeth, wondering how badly Snow would take such a thing.
"Snow there is... something I must tell you, but you must swear to tell no one, not even Charming. There is no one I trust more than you and I feel that you deserve to know. May I have your word?" Ruby was worried, she didn't want to tell Snow, but she couldn't keep it locked within her any longer... she needed to tell someone.

Snow chuckled slightly as Ruby spoke to her. "I don't think that Charming will allow that. He knows how much I adore the forests and the adventures and things like that" she said smirking a bit. Snow brushed her hair out of her face and she looked at her. "Rivers are nice.Remember, I used to live in the woods before everything happened between us" she told her. "He would think we may be up to something" she said giggling a bit. Snow took a sip of her drink and started eating again. "Yeaa. I miss those times as well" she muttered looking out the window then back at her.
Closing her eyes suddenly she listened to Ruby's words. "I know I just... I just.." she muttered. "I just hope she doesn't hate us for doing what we had to do. You have no idea what its like giving birth to a daughter and then spending five minutes or two seconds with her to have her suddenly taken away and placed in the wardrobe. I never once stopped crying after that happened" she told her looking up at her.
A light laugh escaped Snow and poured her some wine. Then handed her the glass. "I'm only giving you a little, cause I know how you can be sometimes" she teased. Her eyes rolled and she smiled a little. "I'm just so happy your here, you make my stay in this place so much better" she told her. "Aside from Charming and all" she said smiling. "I promise" she said winking at her friend.
Hearing the sudden hesitation in her voice she looked at her and she wasn't too sure upon what was going on. "Everything alright Ruby? You know you can tell me anything" she said lowering her fork and she looked at her concerned. "You have my word" she told her nodding her head. Locking her gaze with her. Ruby was speaking in the same way to her when she brought up about Rumplestiltskin, all those years ago when she wanted to forget about Charming. Snow patiently waited for her answer her eyes were filled with worry and she wanted to know what was wrong.

Red smiled fondly at her best friend. How many adventures had they been on together? How many times had Snow saved her life? How many times had Red saved hers? She had never really stopped to think about and she supposed it was why they had always made such a deadly duo. Red would willingly risk her life for Snow and Snow would do the same. It was what gave her the utmost confidence in the Queen... and there was no one else she would rather have at her side during a battle. Her trust and her love for Snow were unbreakable.
"Perhaps then we shall go missing for a few weeks time and disappear beyond the trees. It has been far too long since you have braved anything more vicious than a class of kindergarteners." Ruby's eyes twinkled with humor and laughter. It was far too easy to tease her long lost friend and she simply couldn't stop her runaway tongue. Red chomped down hard on her tongue at Snow's words, hard enough to make the tender appendage bleed.
You have no idea what it's like giving birth to a daughter
Red would have liked too, in fact she would have loved too. She had loved Peter to death. He was sweet, kind, caring, and he loved her despite all her little screw ups and flaws. But the beast... no the monster that lingered within her soul had seen too his death, and it was all her fault. She had chained him, stripped him of his weapons, he had been naught but a sacrifice to the wolf that lingered within the depths of her soul. She had killed her lover. It was her fault he was dead, it was her fault she did not have a daughter of her own. She looked down and away clenching her fists in her lap. Always a monster.
"I'm happy to be home." The smile was strained but Red forced the thoughts from her head as Snow sat opposite her. She chewed her bottom lip until it was raw. How could she tell Snow this? How could she tell her best friend in the whole damn world that she had screwed up yet again?
"I did something stupid again Snow." Red took a deep breath, drinking down the rest of the wine in one quick gulp and sighing. "I... I made a deal with Rumple Snow, an open ended deal, I made him swear not to drag you or your family into it... but I am afraid of what he will have me do." She wasn't supposed to tell anyone, but Snow wasn't anyone, Snow was the only person she trusted above all else.

Snow smiled a little and she giggled at the thought about running away with Ruby. She always loved spending time with her friend and she wasn't even afraid of her wolf form anymore. Except for that one time when Granny used to tame her down a bit. Snow looked down at the ground and giggled. "I know. I'd love to go on more adventures. I've yet to be able to since I run this place now. I'm not sure how my people will do without seeing their Queen around" she said snickering a bit.
Giving a small smile she looked over to her. Taking her hand in hers and patting it lightly. "Its good to have you here, and home with us Ruby. Charming enjoys your company as well as I do. And Henry loves you as well and so does Emma" she said softly. It was true, of her times in Storybrooke, Snow had seen her daughter save her life and many other things. She had seen her daughter befriend her best friend she ever had.
Hearing her words she frowned and she looked at Ruby for a moment. Unsure of what to say at this point. "Y-You made a deal with Rumplestiltskin?" she asked curiously. "What sort of deal Ruby?" she asked curiously. "You know something..." she said frowning. Then she looked down. "What does he want you to do?" she asked darting her eyes again towards her. "Red... " she said calling her by her true name now. "Tell me what you know. What kind of deal did you make with him. You do know the price yes? You know when making deals, he always want something in return" she told her.

"Oh!" Red smiled quite wickedly, mischief and danger dancing in her emerald greens as Snow sat down across from her. She chewed her surprisingly delicious food, swallowed and laughed lightly. "These people can survive without you for a day... or possibly a few! But I need my Snow time! I caught you before even Charming!" She laughed lightly into the room. She could not imagine her life without Snow. They were carved from the same mold, best friends forever. They had seen so much together... Snow knew every last one of her dark secrets and Ruby knew every single secret of Snows.
She quickly sobered up however as she made her confession. She wasn't supposed to tell anyone about this deal, but she knew Snow... and she knew she wouldn't tell. Red was at a loss and she was scared, but she did not regret the deal she had made, because in the long run, everyone was safer. She chewed her bottom lip, worrying it until it lightly bled. She wrapped her hands around the goblet Snow had given her, needing something to ground herself.
"You know I have always struggled for control. Control of the...wolf inside of me. I asked Rumple if there was any way I could learn to gain control of the beast, to utilize its power and strength whenever I wished to call upon it, not just when Luna commands it. He sent me to a spirit in the forest, I can control it completely Snow. I can shift at will, I don't hurt anyone or anything. I can be of such use to you... to the kingdom!" She was excited for that aspect. Think of an army with a werewolf at its beck and call, able to surprise an enemy while they slumber, able to track down a killer... she could help the kingdom in so many different ways.
"The price... is undetermined. To be decided at a later date. He would give me no more than that. I am afraid... I am afraid of what he will have me do." This part was said much softer. What if he wished to drag her away to another world? Another dimension? He had the knowledge and the means to get to a place like that she was sure... what if he wanted her to kill someone dear to her? She was frightened, and she knew not what to do.

Snow loved every minute of being with Ruby. She was her best friend, she helped her through many adventures and she giggled. "I'll talk to him about it" she told her winking playfully. "Though I think he would let me come along, knowing how much I enjoy your company" she told her. "I've been with him for a while and he knows I need to be with you more often" she told her softly. "After all I do need some girl time" she said chuckling a bit.
Placing a gentle hand upon her friends shoulder she looked at her in the eyes. "I know you are Red, and I'm proud of you for controlling it.." she said in a soft voice. Hearing her words she looked upon her and she listened to what she had to say. "Luna?" she said repeating the name. "Really?" she said in a surprised voice. Then she looked at her curiously again. "I know you don't hurt anyone Red. I'll inform the people here..about that. if they see a wolf prowling about, to not hurt you" she said nodding her head.
Her eyes closed hearing her voice. "Who knows what kind of price it is to pay for Rumplestiltskin, no one will ever know really how to determine it. When I met him in his cell in the other world" she told her. Snow then sighed "My price from Rumple was simple. It was for Emma's name" she said again. Snow rubbed her back gently and she said nothing for a moment. "Relax, I'm sure it won't be anything bad..." she said in a comforting voice.

Red laughed lightly, agreeing with Snow and her need for 'girl time' there were so few women of this time period who could fend for themselves, it was quite sad and Red found their ways utterly dull and drab. Why sit around knitting and gossiping about the Queen's new shoes when you could be exploring the wilderness? Climbing trees, running through open fields, dancing with the winds and laughing with the storms? Red simply was not built for the life of civil, respectable, decent women. Her spirit was too wild, her heart yearned for adventure, for life. She hated the grand balls and the flawless dresses, why spin on hardwood floors when you could glide through trees? It had been a long while since Red had attended one of Snow's balls... perhaps she would have to crash her next one... hmm.
"Luna... the moon? Child of Luna? Word play and all that jazz?" Red blushed lightly, she had gotten so used to the term her mother had given her, she often forgot that no one else knew such a name, but then she grew excited, and she leaned forward placing both of her hands onto the table. "Look Snow... I can change at will." She let the green in her eyes fade, gold taking their place, her nails slowly pointed and became deadly claws, her lips thinned and her teeth became pointed and lengthened, and just as fast, everything vanished. "I could completely shift if I so willed it. I can control it completely!"
"I just..." Her excitement dwindled as she thought back to Rumple. She owed him something, and with the strength that she possessed... she was afraid to know what such a thing would be. She was utterly loathe to find out what, but she took Snow's reassurance and smiled at her as gently as she could. "I hope you are right. I hope control has not cost me something irreplaceable." It would kill her if Rumple asked her for something to do with her more violent nature, she wasn't sure she wanted anymore death on her conscious.

Sitting next to Red she sighed for a moment. Closing her eyes then she gave a light laugh when she did. Charming knew how close Red and Snow where. They were more than friends, it felt like they were sisters even. Snow remembered the time she gave her secrets to Snow and Snow kept them ever since. Remaining quiet she looked over at Red and giggled a bit. "I like the sound of that, It sounds so... mysterious like yourself" she said gently.
"I love the name of it though. Its beautiful like I said and mysterious and creative really" she told her in a friendly voice. Hearing her next set of words she was curious upon what Rumple had planned for Red to do. "You can?" she said tilting her head. "I know you've been wanting to do that all your life, but are you sure?" she said. "That's wonderful Red!" she said giggling. "I'm just frightened though you never know with Rumplestiltskin on what he has planned for the price you have to pay" she said sighing. "With me forgetting Charming, he took a strained of my hair. Which was very odd. He never told me what he was going to do with it. "Does it hurt you when you change into a wolf Red?" she asked in a worried voice. "Whenever I saw you change, I was always worried if it would hurt you" she said frowning.
Closing her eyes she leaned against her friend and hugged her. "I'm sure everything will work out whatever it is.." she told her her running her hand through her hair. Comforting her. Snow looked at her and said nothing for sometime. "We should change the subject to something different. I can tell in your eyes you're not wanting to talk about it anymore" she said softly. "I understand" she told her.

Snow and Red had been best friends forever, or so it seemed. They had been through so much together, had almost been killed who knew how many times, and had triumphed against all odds. Snow could tell what Red was thinking with a little more than a glance and vice versa. They were sisters as far as Red was concerned. She would do anything for Snow, all the woman would have to do was ask... and it never hurt to have a werewolf as such a close ally... especially one who could control the beast inside of her, at least, for the most part anyway. She shook the thoughts from her head, focusing instead on Snow.
"Then it shall be! When next you get a free moment I shall steal you away to the woods!" She laughed lightly, indulging her best friend, she was eager to get lost within the confines of their real home, it had been so long since they had returned home... it felt like a far away dream, something she wished was here, she still hadn't come to terms with the fact that they were really home.
"Luna is a term the other like me have deemed the moon. I suppose I must have picked it up from them!" She blushed lightly, laughing a bit, ever since her memories had returned she had been a bit uneasy. There was so much death and tragedy that littered her past... she wished she could forget it all, she had almost wished that she hadn't regained all of her memories. Poor Peter... and then her mother... she would never regret saving Snow's life, but the guilt still gnawed at her insides like a starving rat. "It makes me nervous, but I suppose what's done is done, I cannot change the past anymore than you can." She smiled weakly. Snow's next question surprised her, it was rare Snow asked her about the beast, Red had never minded talking about the monster that dwelled within her soul, but Snow had always seemed uneasy. She debated how best to answer her.
"It hurts, yes. I mean, all of my bones had to break to realign themselves, muscles, tendons, veins... everything shifts with me. I let Victor study me once, he says he thinks the curse does something to the anatomical structure of my body allowing it to bend, to be more flexible, he claims its why I heal so fast... whatever all of that means!" Red laughed again. His words were so eloquent and refined, he lost her often in his speech, but they had become good friends, especially after she had saved his life back in Storybrooke. She often traveled with him to gather herbs or plants to make his poultices and medicines, he was one of few who knew of her curse. "But the feeling you get after you shift... it's incredible Snow. It's like being set free when you haven't seen the sunlight in years, its indescribable, it's like nothing I have ever felt before." She was grateful for the subject change from Rumple, she did not wish to dwell on the favor she now owed the devil.
"Of course! Yes... thank you, tell me how the kingdom has been! Has everyone been accounted for? Did everyone make it home alright?"
