Hunter was patroling in an area of the forest that she only visited once before... as it was pretty far from the city. It was farther away even by her standerds. She would have to jog a few hours if she wanted to go back to the city right now. She sang softly under her predator mask as she arrived on a larger hill that overlooked the area below her. She nowticed a small spot mooving towards her not to far ahead of her, and tilted her head gently. She kept jogging towards the person who turned out to be a male as she got closer. She waved towards the rather small person and called down towards his location. " Hello there! " She called out but stood in one place. She studied him for a few long seconds before he reached the top of the hill. The rerson really looked familiar... but did not know from where exactly. She however suddenly felt uneasy at her own 8 feet 4 inches tallness and the fact that her arms, legs and part of her torso was almost naked. She however was far more tolerant of the cold then humans. " Hello there. " she said again and nodded. She then waited for some kind of reacton or something. She looked at the snow arounf them fro a shot second before turning back to him.

Thorin was wandering again. He'd lost Kili to a town beauty for a couple of days, he thought, and so he'd volunteered to venture out on his own accord. He returned to the outskirts of Aldeon, where he felt more comfortable away from prying eyes and people unfamiliar. Thorin liked only his people, had only care for them. He was a harsh leader but he was fair and he was thoughtful; he was supposed to be King Under the Mountain. As he wandered, Thorin thought he saw a figure from atop the hill he was on. It was a woman, a very tall one, and she was not too far from him. His dwarfish size felt tiny right now. "Hello," he answered slowly, cautiously. One could never be too careful around here, in this world that was not home. He missed Middle Earth. Missed the misty mountains and the dark caverns. Hell, he even missed knowing that he was surrounded by other races that he recognized--even if he could never forgive the dwarves or believe that Bilbo Baggins was for real. He shook his head with a defeated smile. No, he wasn't liking it here so far. He wanted his family, his kin. His regard returned to his companion and he studied her quietly.

" Rek'aa Hakk... at your service. " She bowed slightly and then stood up tall. " Welcome to the Kingdom of Aldeon. " She spoke confidently and studied him. " You are not from around here i can tell... where are you from? " She asked tilting her head gently. She studied him some more, taking his armor's detail and materials and such into account. " You can take care of yourself... so you are most likely royalty... or somekind of leader... a battle hardened person... otherwise you would not be all alone. " She stated more to herself as she picked up the info about the small male. She then fell silent and pointed backwards. " The city is farther ahead. " She pointed towards the thick of the forests towards the city that lay far behind her. She wanted to know this man and did not underestimate his size at all. She then scanned the rest of the valley and nodded softly. There where no dangers from around here.

Thorin looked up at her, measuring his odds as he always did and taking in his threats. He was battle trained and hardened; warrior was in his blood. "Nice to make your acquaintance, then. Thorin, King of Durin's Folk, if that might suffice to explain." He bowed very slightly, as he was a Durin, and nodded. "I am from Middle Earth, from a home called the Lonely Mountain. Are you from here?" He wanted answers and this was as good a place as any to get them. If she could lead him to some conclusions, some answers, maybe he'd figure out the way back once more to his home in Erebor. "Yes, I am a dwarf, and king of my kind. I was destined to be a king, but have since been pulled away from the task." He sighed heavily, a desperation and a longing in his cold, wise eyes. Thorin did not like being alone, but all of her observations had thus been correct. At least, he noted, he'd found Kili. He scowled. "I should remain away from there," he responded. Sociality was not his strongest suit.

" Thorin... yes... and Midddle-Earth? sorry but i do not knw where that is... and i am not from here either. " She nodded an all of a sudden felt very empty. She missed back home so much. " I am not from here... i am from another place a far more advanced place... a portal took me from my world into this place. " She explaned and then listned to him speak. Then it hit her... She knew the person... but that was from a movie back in her dimension, She broke into a wied eyes grin under her mask... luckily her mask hid all of her face. " A Dwarf king? wow... i am not royalty but i met many of them... i am only a Royal Guard in this realm. I was a leader in my original relm... but not here. " She shook her head with slight sadness and shrugged, " if you want i can lead you to a small camp that i set up not too far from the city... you will have peace and quiet... as ony i use that camp to patrol around the place. " She understood his wanting to not be in the city. She herself was more a nature girl too. " Yes... i agree... the city is... wierd at times. " She laighed slightly as she looked down at the small Thorin.

His wise, warm eyes, having seen too much war and too many people die of his kind, were not open to the world as they once were. "I don't know where it is, either, in relation. Where do you come from?" he asked coolly enough, his hand on the Orcrist at his side. It was his stay now, this sword, and he could never leave it. It was all he had of the clan he'd so much as failed. "Portal?" he heard and repeated, trying to figure out what that was, what powers it had to remove him from Erebor. "I don't consider myself royal. Not anymore at least," he answered with a solemnity to his tone. He had lost his kinsmen. Well, no, not Kili, but that was the only exception. Where were the rest of them? "What do you do, as Royal Guard?" He was, at least, going to give her the chivalry of one who was raised to be a king, even if his mountain was gone. He looked up at her, still amazed by her size, and shook his head. "I've found one of my own; we've made lodgings. But I do appreciate your offer." He smiled the slightest he was able and bowed his head, still tired and still unsure of what he was supposed to do now that there was no mountain to go reclaim. "Cities have never been my favorite," he answered absently, not really thinking about what he was saying.

" A portal is like a temporry door to another time and place. " She explained and then grunted softly. " I am from a far more advanced relm... you could says from the future... as this place would be 100's of years behind my time. " She told him and shrugged. She then listened to him and then answered too" I do patrolling and guard the outer gates. I got the patrol job as i am mostly a nature person... i do not really like the cities of this relm... too simple and sometimes even boring,if you ask me... but it also gived me a bit of peace. " She spoke and then heard a low grolw not far behind her. She turned her head to see Wolf there. The once wild wolf that she managed to perfectly tame. " Wolfy... come here... and do not hurt our guest. " She spoke towards the wolf. She the wolf reached her, she crouched down and started caressing her. She then spoke again. " I know you think i am too tall to be a human, i was it in your eyes... and you are right... i am not fully a human. " She explained to him and then nodded.

Thorin pondered over the explanation and countered wonderingly, "Interesting. Just temporary? Does that mean I can go back, or that I'm here for good?" There may have been even a glimmer of hope in his tragedy-filled blue eyes. Thorin wanted to go home. He wanted to see his people and reclaim his mountain. He wanted to be, for once in his life, King Under the Mountain. "I'm not even sure where I'm from in relation," Thorin commented flatly. He was certain this wasn't Middle Earth, though. Her job sounded... different. He nodded. "It is indeed nice out here. I don't care for cities much myself, being from a nomadic clan of dwarves." Thorin was proud of it, nonetheless. The sound of the wolf caught him off guard and Thorin ended up with a hand poised on the hilt of his Orcrist. The sword was his lifeblood in this world. But Hunter seemed to know the thing--a scary thought--and he furrowed his brows. The beast must have been her pet! Thorin shook his head. "Wolves," he muttered but watched entranced nonetheless. "What are you then?" he asked, curious.

" Thorin... i was not born on this planet... i was born very high in the air... much higher then any creature can fly.... i was also the leader of a nomadic clan... but my clan where hunters... tthe best hunters there where. " She spoke as simply as she could. "And we can not leave this relm... we are stuck here. " She nodded sadly. Hunter then saw his reaction when he saw Wolfy and tilted her hear slightly. " I can se that you do not like wolves... but do not be scared of her... Wolfy is totally tame." She assured Thorin and then glancing at his hand her focus then focused on his sword... that was one nice blade. " Nice Sword. " She nodded smiling gently. She knew a thing or two about using swords too... back home she uses them in a lot of battles. " i also used and still use swords. " She nodded to the fact that truely good blades where very rare. As they where walking they reached her first little camp and as she pointed to it she spoke. " Do you want to be closer to the city or furthur away? " Rek'aa asked as she glaned around and then scanned the area from behind her mask. She then waited for Thorin to answer. As she waited ,Rek'aa looked at the canp and then back at Thorin... he reminded her that she never had inner peace.. and probably never will have it.

He nodded at her story, noting the details. Not from here, but he'd already figured that out beforehand. With a subtle dip of his head, he answered her bluntly. "Up? In the air? Dwarves do not like heights." His own personal experience with dwarves was often a fear of heights. Once, he'd had to save that damned hobbit Bilbo from falling off a precipice, and he had been none too happy about it. "Hunters, very interesting," Thorin mused. They could huntm dwarves, just not unless they needed to.
"No, I do not. But I might appreciate the assurance." He would not touch the thing, that was certain. But he would always be wary, as he'd learned often to be. Thankfully, his attention was diverted to the sword at his side. His Orcrist. He smiled very smally and nodded. "Elven-made, but still a very good weapon." He did not care for elves one bit. "It's called Orcrist." Swords were named for what they did in battle. She said that she was a wielder of the sword himself. Very good. They were good weapons, thought bows could be comparable in the right hands--Kili's, particularly. Och, damn. Now he was remembering his kin again.
"It does not matter to me either way," he said shortly. He was just glad for the establishment of a camp.

" Okay... then we sould move on... being closer to the city is safer for others then me. " She nodded and motioned towards the next hill. "lately there has been a smaller dragon and a larger orc pack showing of in the forsests... i was there at both events and killed them all... with help " She explained as she walked on the way towards the city. " The only few things i like about this place are my camps, the castle, the market, my house near the farms and the nature of course. " She smiled under her mask. " The bad thing about this place is that i am from a far more advanced place and time and that this place is nothing like that... this place is way too peacefull for me... boring at times... and that i am slowly growing softer. " She smirked. " I was in near constant training before i got here... but scince then... i can heardly train. " She shook her head with a low grunt. Rek'aa then looked down at him. " Not many creatures could stand in my way... even without most of my gear and weapons i am very effective " She told him and shgugged. Hunter then started playing a bit of AC/DC out loud. She did not reliesed that her HUD system had the music play externally. She also sang along to it... witch also was heard outloud.

Thorin had long known war and battle, and from years of it had been warn down to the man he was now. "King of Durin's Folk," he was called, but King Under the Mountain he should have been. It was a title he had yearned to reclaim for a long time now, to take bakc Erebor... He nodded in agreement to Hunter's suggestion, not liking being too close to a place wherein might dwell elves or goblins or any other thing of great terror. Thorin was not up to battling today. He was glad the orcs were dead. "You must be a good guard, then. Of that I am grateful." He would drop his pride for a thanking. "Cities do not strike my fancy, but instead gold and mountains and dwarven women," he said straight, but with his eyes smiling. He did not like cities unless he could have them under his throne, and right now he had no throne. "Advanced?" he questioned, in response. "Tell me how so. I am curious." He did not think that his society had been considered advanced. Training for what, battle? "Are you a soldier of some future time, then?" he drew out, and then heard something he did not recognize. "What is that sound? Yelling goblins?"

" Thorin... do not thank me... it is my job... plust i will not tolerate any dark creautes on my king's lands. " She nodded hear maskes head and then listened to him. She then smirked in a light mood. " i also like Gold and mountains. " She nodded with a smile under her mask. She then looked down at his and spoke, "Do not get me wrong... i can adapt to any era... but where i come from there are huge cities... with many million people living there, and life is buzyer and also much more advanced. " She spoke remembering her own dimension, witch made her hurt from thinking about it. She was silent for a long minit before she spoke again. " Yes... my culture of where i am originally from... we are elite sodiers and hunters... nearly all of us are as tall as i am... but we are all taller then humans " Rek'aa explained and then she listened to the possible noice in the area, scanning the place. " Thorin, i do not hear or see anybody" Hunter then grew wied eyes as she reliesed that her music and singing was heard externally. " Oh the music!... one second. " She adjusted it so the music would only be heard my her. " That is a very very popular music of my time. " She grinned under her mask. " You may find it unusuall... but in my time almost everybody know them. " She explained as she looked down at him. and then bent down to caress Wolfy who was till there.
