{desc=Aly & Reece}It was night and the snow had been coming down heavily since mid afternoon, there had to be at least another foot or two of the fresh stuff that had been added to old stuff. It surprised him how much the snow could add up in such a short time. Then the more he thought about, the more it made sense. If this was London and the snow was rain then it would be almost like a downpour at the moment or close to it. Gabriel welcome the break in his usually thoughts for something less important like snow.
He had come to the fields to escape the city for a while; he had a small campfire set up and a tent. There was a stack of wood next to the tent under a cloth to keep it from getting any more snow on it; there was enough to get him through the night out here. The tent was set up with snow packed around the outside of it in a good enough layer to keep the cold out and the warmth in. Much like how wolves and huskies bury themselves in the snow during the winter.
Gabriel was sitting down at the fire, just staring up at the night sky, deep in though. Much like a prisoner, he had been keep track of the days since he had been taken from everything. Sure he found Aly who was sorta like a kid he had to watch over even more so these days… But he still hadn’t found Jack yet. Everyday when someone new wondered into the city limits from wherever they came, he was hoping to see that familiar gray greatcoat but so his hopes have been slashed.
He just sat there letting the fire cook a chunk of meat from a small deer that he had killed about an hour ago before setting up camp. The rest was hung up a tree so that any other predator out here wouldn’t come looking for it. The blood had been drained almost two miles away from camp and the head left there. And he was sure the freezing cold would have it frozen in now time. That was one thing good about the winter, meat lasted longer…
