The forest whipped past her creating a kaleidoscope of color as she ran. The night was as black and dismal as a ravens wing, but the wolf could see just fine. Careening through the forests at speeds most would deem unsafe, she navigated them without pause or hesitation. A child of the moon, never pausing in her rampant run. Nothing would ever feel as exhilarating as this. Wind rushing through her fur, the solid earth, heavy and thick beneath her pads... exhilarating did not begin to describe this euphoria. Golden eyes gleamed like beacons, exuding her excitement.
It could have been minutes, hours, half a day... time was irrelevant, it possessed no meaning, only the thrill of the run fueled her forward, and as the first rays of mornings light began to touch the forests edge she felt her heart sink in her chest. It would be over soon, and she would be left, longing for freedom for another month. The whine that escaped her vocals could not be helped.
The tree line vanished and a rather intimidating fortress appeared before her. Golden eyes widened and she skidded to a halt, claws digging into the soil and bringing her large bodice to a halt. The wolf snarled, ears pinned back and golden eyes flickering, weary of this castle. She had never seen it before it had not existed in the old home. She backed up, tail coiled around one of her legs as she debated her options.
Before she could do much of anything, the sun stole her choice as it peeked over the horizons. Her bones shifted, muscles and ligaments tearing and ripping, fur retreating from flesh, until Red lay crouched down in the snow. She pulled her thick red cloak around her just a little bit tighter, without the fur she could feel the bitter chill beginning to seep into her bones and she shivered.
She stepped closer to the castle, wondering where exactly "here" was. She extended her arm and gently brushed her fingertips along the massive front doors. She could feel the magic tickling her heightened senses. It was powerful here and with whoever owned this castle, the only question that remained, were they filled with wicked intent or kindness?

Jareth the Goblin King looked around his castle bored out of his mind. Sarah Williams was no where to be found which made the Goblin King worry a little but he would know if she was in trouble. The Goblin King had made an orb appear in his hand and he started playing with it in his hand. Jareth had walked back over to his throne and he sat down, continuing the same motions that he was before with the crystal orb. Jareth usually was able to find something to do that would keep him occupied but right now, that seemed merely impossible.
There were more goblins around the throne room now. Jareth was rather pleased since these were all new and old ones. Many of them he recognized and many of them he hadn’t. Jareth looked at the entertainment, which was all the goblins were to him in a while. The Goblin King had held up the crystal orb to his eye level and peered inside. A smirk had appeared on his face and he stood up.
“it appears that I have a visitor.” Jareth said, staring at the young brunette girl in the red cloak in his crystal orb. Jareth started walking through the throne room and he stopped at the large window. Jareth peered out and saw the girl with his own eyes. It wasn’t anyone he had recognized from anywhere.
Jareth backed away from the window and he turned to the room of goblins who were all staring at him. He still held the smirk on his face and he headed out of the throne room and to the front gate of the castle. He had ordered it to be opened, and Jareth didn’t move but just stared at the enterance.

Ruby ran her fingers along the fine grooves of the door, even these were carved by magic, she could feel it. The wolf within her growled, snarling, snapping, the beast did not trust magic. Red couldn't blame it, not after all the misery it had wrought upon her and her friends. Green eyes eyed the heavy door widely, ignoring the beast for now, a thousand scents she didn't recognize permeated the air and it was overwhelming to her. She couldn't separate them and she didn't recognize any.
Her body was tense and rather foolishly she felt safe beneath her cloak, and even though it no longer held the enchantments to control the changes in her form, she still felt protected by it, a foolish notion but one that brought her tense body some semblance of comfort. It would be another full moon tonight and with it would bring a second transformation, her senses were heightened, sensitive, she wasn't sure she wanted to deal with this today but then... the doors and took her chance of fleeing with them.
She froze like the proverbial deer in headlights, emerald eyes widening impossibly large and her body going stock still, but Red had never been a coward and she wasn't about to start now. Small creatures... Goblins, her brain supplied quite usefully, watched her with curious eyes, but her gaze was drawn to the regal figure towards the back, clearly the ruler of this place. She did not enter his home.
"Greetings." Red bowed low, deciding first to plead her case with kindness, she would not judge before giving him a chance. "Forgive me for arriving so suddenly, the wolf goes where she pleases, you are not originally from these lands are you?" Curiosity had momentarily overridden her fear and apprehension, but still she waited for his permission or his command of attack, before entering. She could fight off a few of the goblins, she was talented with her daggers, and her blades, but the entire army plus the magician... impossible. She would have to rely on her speed to flee, should it come down to such a scenario, she hoped that he would prove to be gentle, an ally, especially of such power, was always better than an enemy.

Jareth the Goblin King stood in the doorway of his castle. He was still curious to this girl, sensing some sort of power from her. He didn’t trust her one bit, thinking that she could be here to harm him or worse, to harm Sarah. Maybe this is what he had been preparing his mind for, what he had believed to be true. Maybe she was the one that would try to harm him. No, she didn’t look like it. He sensed power from her, but she couldn’t be the one to hurt him. She didn’t seem like the type to harm him or Sarah for no reason.
She had called out to him by saying greetings. Jareth nodded to acknowledge that he had heard her but before he could say something else to her she spoke again. She had apologized for arriving so suddenly, that the wolf goes where it pleases. He grew curious. What did she mean by wolf? She had then asked about where he was from. Jareth had signaled her to come over. He wasn’t really one to be kind to people he didn’t know but she wouldn’t be able to harm him. He wouldn’t let that happen so easily.
“all is well.” Jareth replied to her about her just being here when she wasn’t invited. “and as for not being from here? That is true, I am from a land far, far away.” Jareth then said to her, with a smirk. He then looked at her and had no fear in asking her about what she meant. “what do you mean by the wolf?”
The Goblin King needed to make sure that she was safe, that she wouldn’t harm Sarah if he had let her stay here.

Ruby watched the creatures carefully, they were goblins, not the most trustworthy of creatures, they were smaller and built slightly different from the ones she had seen, but their scent was the same. The beast within her watched them even more closely, so close to the full moon she could feel the beast more strongly, could sense its power and its strength, it flowed through her veins like lava. It heightened her senses, and she could feel the hair on her arms rise at the power this man exuded... or was he a man at all. Mismatched eyes, feathery looking hair, pointed ears, he was from another realm, but would he be friend or foe?
As he beckoned her closer, she moved slowly through the double doors feeling a bit like a beast in a cage, the wolf inside her growled at such an analogy, but Red was cautious. The man wielded magic, it crackled in the air around him, he was undoubtably powerful. Ruby had raw strength and speed, but not nearly as much in this form, if he choose to he could strike her down in one fatal shot... but Ruby had never been a timid creature, had never been afraid of new things, why should she start now?
"I am sorry you were pulled from your world, and I wish I could say I could send you back..." And just like that she felt her hesitation vanish only to be replaced by sympathy. She knew what it was like to watch everything you know and love get sucked away, it was a difficult transition and not something she ever wished to experience it again. She tried to help those brought here, giving them food and shelter, but the emotional pain she could not heal, and even someone as powerful as he, must surely miss his home. " My name is Ruby or Red whichever you prefer...I would offer you a place to stay and some food, but it seems you are doing quite well without my help... if your ever in the Kingdom of Aledon feel free to pop into the Golden Inn, I'll be sure to whip you up something good!" Kindness was something that came naturally to her. She had a kind heart and a gentle soul... a bit of a bizarre combination for a werewolf, but she had no desire to change.
She worried her bottom lip between her teeth as he questioned her about the wolf. She had walked right into that one hadn't she? She wasn't in the habit of telling strangers what she was, especially powerful strangers... most tended to judge her based solely on that term... werewolf. It was spoken like a disease, a plague and she was hated for it. For the lives she had taken, the damage she had wrought. Even though she had long ago learned to tame the beast, they still shunned her, but she sighed. She never had been one to lie.
"I am cursed, a Child of Luna, or more commonly known as a werewolf. When the moon is full I have no choice but to change into a rather large wolf. I can control it..." She was quick to add that last part. " Ive helped the Queen and King numerous times with the wolf, but usually I simply leave venturing out into the woods where no ones around when the change comes. Without a barrage of scents and sounds, it makes it easier to keep the beast tame and others safe from harm. Its how I discovered your castle." She prepared for him to throw her out, she awaited the insults that were sure to fly from his mouth with a tense spine. She was used to such things by now, they no longer bothered her.

Jareth, the goblin king looked at the brunette girl curiously and cautiously. He could tell that she felt uncomfortable but he had hoped that she knew she needn't worry yet. She didn't pose a threat so far and he knew that of she did, he would not hold back any power to use against her. He needed to show that he will not be one to mess with. Jareth needed to protect Sarah.
The girl had apologized to him. She told him that she was sorry that he was taken from his world and that she would send him back if she could. Jareth merely smiled at her. She didn't have to apologize so why she did in the first place confused Jareth. The goblin king then looked at her when she spoke again. He listened to every word and he continued to watch her every move. She said her name is ruby and that he seemed to be doing well for himself. Jareth nodded. The girl then told him that she would whip him up something good if he ever came to the golden inn. That was where Sarah Williams used to work or so he thought. He had already been there once before if memory served him correctly.
"i thank you for your kindness. I truly do. I may just take you up on your offer sometime." Jareth had smirked, hoping that his words show berthas he doesn't mean her any harm.
Ruby started talking again, telling him that she is a child of Luna, meaning that she is a werewolf. Jareth grew more curious. He guessed that because of this, she could sense that he wasn't all he appeared to be either. She then told him that as the wolf she comes out here so that she doesn't harm anyone and that was how she had found his castle. Jareth understood and now that he knew for sure he didn't want to harm anyone, even him, he had invited her in by signaling it with his right hand. No one could ever be too cautious, especially in a new world and environment strange to you.
"please come in. Don't mind the goblins. I love their company. I am Jareth, the goblin king." Jareth had said to her.

She had seen a great many creatures in her day, trolls, giants, spirit guides, great and terrible wizards and sorcerers, and everything in between, she was no exception to her rule, she was just as much a monster as the rest of them, but she tried. She tried to reign in her violent nature and slowly but surely she was succeeding. But who was she to judge such creatures before she got to know them? She relaxed forced her muscles to lose their stiffness, and instead fell into her usual charm. Smiling brightly at the small creatures scattered aimlessly about she moved forward towards the only humanoid looking man in the castle. Whispers shot through the goblins like a wild fire but Ruby ignored them, coming to a halt a respectful distance away.
"Feel free, Snow is always telling me I should broaden my horizons... no better way to start than meeting someone from a foreign land no? If you ever have any questions about this world I have... well I have ran through a vast majority of it, you need only ask." Granted they were flashes, of trees, bogs, lakes, rivers, marshes, oceans... but she still had the wolf's memories, a fact that had come in a great deal of use, when certain parts of the world needed to be accessed with efficiency. Red was not just a pretty face.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Jareth." Her eyes darted about the main hall, eyeing the hundreds of goblins that eyed her with something akin to curiosity, she wondered if they had werewolves in their world or if so were they like her? She did not imagine so if the curious glances and hushed whispers were anything to go by, her sensitive ears picked up on their voices all too well. "And the goblins of course too! Might I ask where you come from? What your world is like? If it's not too much trouble of course!" She was curious. So many people had arrived here from such amazing places, she could never leave this land, but that didn't mean she didn't love the stories... she had heard of a scarce few, Wonderland, Earth, a planet filled with an alien species known as Yaujta... whatever that meant. She wanted to know where this man and his goblins had come from, if he was willing to share.
