This was just awful! How could this have happened?! How could she let her precious hat get taken from her?! By a dog no less! She had searched high and low for this fleabag, following its prints in the snow, but so far has had no luck spotting it. The trail only lead her to the open plains outside of the village. Aj even tried whistling for it, but has had no luck with that either.
Peering around, she lost the tracks. At least a fresh trail of them, anyway. Anywhere there were dog prints, her boot prints were right next to it. She was going around in a circle! Kicking up the snow, she groaned in annoyance. At herself, really. How could she have gotten outsmarted by a dog? Let alone not be able to find it.
A breeze passed her by, blowing her blonde hair with it and a chill up her spine. It was getting cold outside, part of her wanted to head back and get warm, but her stubborn side told her to keep looking. If she went home, she may never find her hat again!
Deciding to turn left, Aj tripped and took a tumble down into the cold snow. She laid there for a few seconds, and exhaled angrily into the snow as she began to get up.She stopped when she was on all fours. A pair of paws stood in front of her. Slowly moving her eyes upward, it wasn't long before she spotted fur, a broad chest of a dog, and her hat.
She swiped her hand forward, aiming for the hat. "Give that back! That's mine!" She growled at it, but the dog jumped back and got in a playful stance a few feet from where she stood on her hands and knees. she pounced forward, trying to tackle it but instead collided with nothing but more snow. Lifting her head up again, the dog was already running far away from her. She punched the ground with her fist.
"Gosh darnit!" Aj yelped loudly as she just placed her face back in the snow. After a few seconds, the irritated blonde sat up, placing her rear on the ground instead and stared at where the dog raced off. She'd get that hat eventually..

Reinhart had been out in plain sight in the city still invisible to the human eye. He needed to get out of the forest for a while and do his routine checks on the humans that lived near by. Making sure that things were going peacefully that his forest…well Mother Nature’s forest was going to be safe along with all her creatures that lived within it. Another reason why he took moments like this was it gave him a chance to interact with another ecosystem outside of the forest, he enjoyed seeing and learning what they humans were doing with their lives.
Sometimes he would take on the shape of some stray dog just to test them and see if they were willing to help him out. Most of the time they surprised him and gave him bits of scraps or even some attention those who did; he often found a way to reward them for their kindness. Today, he was just lurking around, studying…
He had made his way out towards the farmlands, the simple country life that just happened a few miles outside the main city always surprised him with that fact that there wasn’t a major distance between the two, there was a major difference… A busy somewhat hectic life in the city compared to the very calmness of the country life… No venders trying to make their daily living here by trying to convince all those who walk through the main streets to buy something. Just simple folk making their living the harder way…
Reinhart’s thoughts were broken when he heard a female voice yelling at something... It caught his attention and he glanced around seeing a young female human struggling to get something back from a stray dog. He waited until the dog took off before following it and appearing before it. ”No need to cause trouble like that young one. Why don’t you give me back the hat and I’ll see that we find you a good home.” The dog realizing who was before him, lowered his head and dropped the hat to the ground before saying he was sorry. Reinhart used his powers to summon up a chunk of meat for the stray dog before picking up the hat and moving back to where the girl was.
The gray and tan wolf with white marks made his way down on to the farm before sitting the hat down a few feet away from the girl. He was no longer hiding himself; he just moved a few feet away and sat down in the snow. He knew how cautious humans were when it came down to wolves and the last thing he wanted was to cause more trouble.

Aj blinked for a few seconds. Something was.. Going on, she felt funny. narrowing her eyes, she released a sneeze, a quite loud one that was followed by a tremble as a chill traced its way up her spine. Sitting in the snow, not the most brilliant idea the young farmer had, huh? Yet she wanted to take a rest from running after that trouble-maker for so long.
Blinking, she flopped back down on the snow. She closed her eyes and rested, not really sleeping, just shielding her eyes from the blindingly white snow that she really didn't want to look at anymore. Oh how she wished she had her hat to cover her face.
Opening her eyes, something caught the corner or her eye. It was a blob, vague figure from the distance but there alright. Was it that dog? Slowly turning her head, her green eyes gazed upon something much larger. definitely not the dog from before, yet it had her hat standing before its paws, before it turned and sat a few feet more away from her, and from her hat.
Gathering herself up from the snow, she walked over to it and picked it up. Examining it, she brushed the snow off from it, and placed it rightfully on top of her head as a smile grew on her lips. It was great to have her hat back!!
Unfortunately for Aj, she didn't know much of a difference between a dog and a wolf in this world, since he wolves were made of wood. Literally gave meaning to the term 'timber wolf', however she did know better than to just approach any old stray dog she sees. It was awfully pretty though, never seen a dog quite like this one.
"Thanks fer the assistance!" As if the dog could understand her.. examining the animal, she didn't see any blood on it, so it didn't kill the other one. That's a good thing. The other must still be alive. Though he may have given her trouble she would never wish harm upon the dog.
"You're an over-sized fella aren't ya..? Biggest dog I've ever seen.." She said as she bent down at the knees. She searched her pockets. She didn't have any food to give.. She looked around. No fruit or anything to give.. Well darn.

Reinhart sat there just watching the human as she took the hat and placed it back upon her head. Humans always fascinated him with their strange ways and all the things they did from placing things like what he came to know as clothing upon themselves. However they usually had yummy food and treats that he would sneak sometimes or make them give him. But it wasn’t often he sought food from them or seeks anything from their world.
He never sought to hurt anyone whether a fellow animal or human unless they pushed him to that point or brought it upon themselves. He was a creature of peace and tried his best to keep the peace. Thus his reason for getting the hat back for her and the other dog had been just seeking attention with the taking of her hat but ended up getting scared away.
The forest spirit sat there fully understanding what the human was saying but said nothing back. Yes he could speak their language just was well as he could speak any other. For now he was just wanted to be another animal, he didn’t want to have to be anything other than that right now. Plus this was also him studying this race of humans and making sure there was nothing going on that shouldn’t be.
As she went on to speak about how big he was his tail wagged some. His size was something he took pride in back when he was a wolf, he was the largest in his pack and when he became a spirit, he gained a bit more size. His blue eyes watched her as she started to search for something, wondering if she lost something else.
Reinhart stood up, glanced around before darting back into the woods for a moment once he was in the forest; he summoned a deer carcass, which he carried out from the woods. It wasn’t a very large one but enough to proved her with food for a month at least. Once he was close enough, he dropped the carcass down on the ground. It wasn’t often he summoned food like this unless it was really needed. This was his gift to her for not bringing harm to another creature in trying to get back something of no value.
