John, you can really be an ass sometimes. He was beginning to feel like he did something wrong when Ann frowned and stopped, looking deeply troubled. Sorry Phoenix Wright, but your evidence is not enough to prove this contradiction. She must have really thought she was the chick from King Kong. But it certainly seemed that way. She looked like her, acted like her, sounded like her ... well she couldn't actually be her, could she? King Kong was just a movie. Just a movie! It isn't real! But something was going off in John's head. She had a lot of evidence to back up her claim, and when she presented her identification card to him, his eyebrows started to rise.
"wow uh...this does look pretty re-wait king kong is here??? uhhh...sorry but...how??"
Jeez, this was getting confusing. Like, she couldn be that Ann, could she? She's just a figment of his imagination, probably. This whole thing is just a dream, and he is dreaming. Yes...that sounded right. Why King Kong would be in his dream is a mystery but as long as he was sure it was dream he would be okay. ... He hoped.
"i just...i don't get it. how can you be ann from the movie and how can king kong be here? what is here??? aaaaaaaah this is confusing!"
John plopped right onto his backside, yelling 'aaaaaaaah' in a desperate attempt to wake himself up. Come on Egbert, you gotta snap out of it!

Ann wasn't sure what to do or say. Everything she said only seemed to make thing worse and she was so dreadfully confused! What did he mean they were naught but a movie? Her life had been no film, and she was alive wasn't she, flesh, bone and muscle? She had lived for some twenty-seven years, had memories of a vast majority of it... it was impossible and yet he was insistent upon it. She wasn't sure who was more lost at the moment... herself or John. She chewed her cheek in anxiety wondering how she could fix this, if she was nothing but a movie in his world... perhaps they had not stemmed from the same planet? That was possible...wasn't it?
"Perhaps... just like this world has brought all of us here, there are not only other worlds, but planes on which they exist, perhaps my earth is an altered version of yours. The same general concept but on a warped reality?" It was all very confusing for her, but at least she was trying to figure out a way such a thing could be possible. She wondered vaguely if he now, perhaps thought she was insane, crazy. She had meant no harm by telling him such things, but perhaps she should have remained quiet.
"I'm not sure how Kong survived that...fall." She winced at that last word, she could still remember how her heart had frozen in fear when she had watched him slip away. He had died, her own kind had killed him, but how was such a thing possible, that he was brought here? "But he saved my life from a few ogres in this terrifying place of dead trees, not a creature I wish to experience again that's for sure!" She laughed lightly trying to pull the attention out of the air.

The same general concept with a warped reality. That...just made things even more complicated! This was strange, ending up in an unknown land cut off from his friends, but it was do-able. But Ann was in a movie! And not just an actress or something but as an actual character. Pure fiction! Although this was making him wish he had re-watched King Kong now. Maybe she would feel more real to him if he did that? Whatever. She was here, in front of him, and this wasn't a dream. She was actually, like, here. Flesh and blood and all. Eventually he calmed down, shaking his head and causing his hood to fall onto his shoulders. He stood up, cracking his back. Maybe he had been a little more than inconsiderate to his new friend, who he hoped would still be his friend after that little outburst.
"i'm sorry but this is just a little odd you know? like what if the ghostbusters are here too? oh man i would love it if the ghost busters were here that would be dope."
Oh yeah, that was be so dope! Wrangling ghosts with the guys sounded like the best afternoon he could have, and that's all there is to say on the matter. Or well, not really, as John could go on and on about how awesome an afternoon with them would be. Wait what was he doing? This was pretty rude, since he just blew off at Ann for being from a movie but he wants those people from the movie to come over and now he's just being a butt.
"i'd sure love to see kong! i don't know about meeting him, though. seems kinda...dangerous. no offense, of course."
A giant ape that could take on three dinosaurs and live? Yeah, you can count John out of that confrontation.

She was frowning as she puzzled over this kids strange words. What if there were separate realties? Would his have eventually been made into a production in her world? Worlds being worked like mirrors? Reflecting their opposing stories? What a bizarre concept. She supposed it was possible. Alternate dimensions...realities.... it was supposed to be Hollywood make-up but what if it were true? What if they actually did come from not a separate planet necessarily, but a different dimension? Her head hurt, she was made for simple pleasures, such complexity left her woozy. She released the thoughts with a soft sigh.
"No harm was done, no need to apologize... I suppose regardless of whether or not I actually am a real person or just the figment of someone's imagination... I am my own person now and regardless I am still glad to have met you." She smiled at him kindly. It didn't do anyone any good to dwell on the past. She frowned a bit as he mentioned meeting Kong, she was not against him meeting her ever loyal friend, in fact she was eager for him to meet another human who would not try to harm him... he surely had such a foul opinion on them.
"I wish I could tell you that you could meet him. But I have not seen him in several days. I fear something must have happened to him. Perhaps..." Ann hesitated here, glancing at the old cobblestone road, and then glancing behind her at the never-ending stretches of forests. "Perhaps I shouldn't find this city... maybe I should try to go find him?" She was concerned greatly for her large friend, but even if he was in a predicament it wasn't like she could do a great deal to free him. She was utterly useless in a fight, or at least she thought herself to be... she had never been in one to test the theory.
((( OOC: I know, originally King Kong was supposed to make an appearance in this thread, but since Frieza doesn't look like he's coming back... I guess this is gonna be a no xD)))

((OOC: Aw, really? ;-; I hope he comes back sometime))
John would probably love to know that he could have been in a movie. Really, that would be, like the, the coolest thing ever! Especially if he was played by a really cool action movie guy with a gritty personallity and a dark past, but is actually really gentle on the inside and gets all the women and beats the bad guys and is generally awesome and badass and all that jazz. Basically, Nicolas Cage. ...Okay that wasn't as cool as it sounded on paper because a grown man playing a teenager never works out but he could be in a flashback-forward or something?? Now he was just making up words.
"oh man i didn't want to make you feel bad. you're pretty real to me! i think it's pretty cool, you know? i can see you and you're there unless you are a figment of my imagination but we eliminated that option before when i though i was dreaming so the only thing you could be is real right?"
He frowned when she mentioned not being able to see Kong. That was pretty sad, you know. Like, romance was romance, even if it was between a giant ape monster thing and a pretty lady. Oh crap, he shouldn't consider Kong to be a monster, that's pretty mean. He should get his mind off of it. John kept walking, crossing his arms and looking back as Ann did. Well, where could a giant ape monster possibly hide in a forest? Like, wouldn't you be able to see it from over the trees or something? Unless he was shrunken or something... Liv Tyler did have a smallificate setting and stuff, she was probably skittering around somewhere nearby. She's a bunny, by the way. A really cool mecha-bunny thing that Jade's pen-pal gave him. Whoever that guy even is.
"wow that really sucks... but i think you should find the city first. you know, get some rest and some supplies and all that? i'm getting pretty hungry, but i don't know about you. i could eat an entire planet!"
No he couldn't. John, stop lying, it isn't polite.

Ann was not in the habit of letting things keep her down. Her whole life seemed to be one disappointment after another and she had long ago learned to roll with the punches. She rarely had enough money to feed herself, even less too support himself on. She lived in the absolute worst part of New York, in an apartment that was holding itself together by its fingernails, so many cracks, holes, and insects lined the building it was amazing it simply hadn't given up the ghost. Disappointment was a reoccurring theme in her life but she had a tendency to bounce back from t remarkably fast.
"Do not worry about it John. No harm done." Her voice was softer, gentler, she accepted the reality that to him, she might be nothing more than a fictional character in his world, but in her world she was very much real so she would take solace in that. "I promise I am n more of a figment of your imagination, then you are of mine." She laughed lightly, teasing him to prove he had not upset her.
This place was so full of so many huge creatures... it was perfect for Kong. He could be happy here, free to reign over a vast kingdom of forests once again. There were too few humans, with very limited technology, at least from what she'd gathered. He could be great once more, but perhaps... perhaps she had imagined him, had only seen him because she missed him so dearly? Had dreamed him up in her head and forced herself t believe him true? That thought made her unbelievably sad and she worried her bottom lip trying to keep the sudden bout of loneliness from her eyes.
"I suppose you are right. It would be wise to get more winter appropriate clothing that's for sure." She murmured softly beneath her breath, rubbing her bare upper arms in emphasis. "Perhaps I could procure a horse or something as well, it would be much faster than trying to find him on foot don't you think?" She laughed lightly to keep her sadness at bay and nodded, agreeing with him as he mentioned food. "Oh I would kill for anything right now... preferably if it was covered in bacon."

That was an interesting thought, John being an object of fiction to Ann. Like, woah, what if he was just part of her imagination? That would be pretty cool he guessed. She had quite a vivid imagination, in that case. What if she could imagine his friends here? He would like that quite a bit. He was probably giving this too much thought. What if she wanted him to put a lot of thought into it? What if she knew he was putting a lot of thought into it? What if she knew he knew she knew he was putting a lot of thought into it??? Pretty deep stuff, man. It looked like Ann was at least happier now, so he hoped she wasn't hiding being upset with him. He didn't know, women were such strange creatures, she could be feeling anything right now. At least she wasn't Rose. He didn't need his mental state to become the subject of conversation...
"oh no i'm not cold or anything. it's a little chilly out here but these pajamas are pretty warm. how about that dress? it looks pretty...open. aren't you cold? maybe you should take it off. but not here! i-i mean you should probably just...find some other...you know what i mean."
Oh boy, did he hope she knew what he meant. He wasn't a pervert or anything. He tried not to make eye contact, glancing off at the side of the road and the iced-over grass. It looked pretty cool, actually. He hadn't really seen grass in a very long time (aside from like, a thread ago) and it was pretty refreshing. Ann then brought up the prospect of using a horse to get around faster, and that brought an idea to John.
He stopped walking, and turned to Ann.
"okay i have a plan but you're gonna have to hold on tight!"
He extended his hand to her.

This world was so entirely different from her own and yet she was not afraid or anxious... a but unnerved perhaps but only because their chosen topic of discussion had brought up a rather terrifying question. This was obviously not her time period, and if the creatures that lurked here were any indication, they weren't on Earth either. That meant that some force, either technological or something she had no concept with, had dragged them here, but why? Were they merely the result of something gone horribly wrong? Or were they chosen? She did not think much of herself, she had no strengths besides making people laugh and her weaknesses were vast... but what if there was something inside of her, personality or otherwise that was required for some higher intended purpose? What if she and John had been chosen for a reason? Were they supposed to meet? Were they supposed to become friends? There were, quite literally, millions of people in New York alone, why was she the one specifically chosen to come here? It seemed to farfetched to believe it was chance, even with the ever lingering threat of death this place was already feeling more like home than the city ever had. She was not one to believe in destiny... but then what was this?
But then he was speaking again and he held her attention. His state of attire didn't appear to be the warmest of dress either, but he was probably faring better than she, her toes were quickly getting frostbite, perhaps it would have been wise to stay at the barn a bit and warm up? Ah well... too late now.
"Hahaha! As cold as this dress makes me, I do believe it would be better than running around naked!" Her laughter flooded through the air. She was neither mad nor upset, only incredibly bemused. What a great friend she had found, she could not remember the last time anyone, or anything, had made her laugh so hard. He seemed embarrassed shying away from her, but before she could offer words to hopefully make him understand she held no ill will towards him, he stopped and turned to face her offering up his hand and she eyed him curiously... What was life without risks?
"Hold on? What are you planning?" She grabbed his hand and stepped closer to him.
