Red was kindness and sincerity rolled into the wild nature of the beast that stirred beneath her flesh. She had a good heart and a kind soul, but an untamable spirit. The wolf within her demanded its freedom and on some nights, demanded her to give into its will. A coy smile crossed her face at the memory of the last hunt. She had stumbled upon a back of elk, that had been an enthusiastic kill on the wolfs side.
The long red traditional cloak she wore was no longer enchanted and had been burned long ago, but she another fashioned, this one just plain red material, it had become habitual for her to wear it and especially convenient in the winter. Her thick black boots crunched through the thick snow. Her emerald green eyes glancing about at the different vendors, shouting out their goods, demanding customers to come and view their stock... Ruby never needed much from this place, arrows on occasion, a few fruits that she hadn't already made deals with the farmers for her Inn. Ruby often came to people watch, to absorb some sun and soak in the world.
"Hey Red, what brings your cute hide so far from the Inn?" Red smiled and turned to face the old man with the apple cart, she pulled the hood from off of her hair, and shook long brown locks free.
"Well Lenny, I do on occasion leave my place from behind the bar and venture out into the world." She teased him with a flirtatious and wink and the elder man laughed full heartedly as she fingered the apples of his cart. Picking up a bright red fruit and happily biting into it, flipping him a silver as she did so. He caught it with practiced ease as his chortling died down.
"Oh Red... you don't haveta do this! I barely charge half a bronze for an apple!" He snorted already trying to hand her back the coin. Red laughed waving her hands in the air and crunching off another bite of her apple fending him off.
"Nonsense! I feel bad for you wife, if you aren't here selling your trade your at my Inn getting trashed at the bar! At least go buy your damsel something pretty!" Red laughed, gave him a pat on the shoulder, happily crunching her apple as she went.
