We don't ask much of you here at Lost Paradise - only that you obey the few rules listed here. Breaking of the rules will result in the following consequences:

1. The first time you break the rules, you will receive a warning.
2. The second time you break the rules, you will be banned from the site and c-box for three days.
3. The third time you break the rules, you will be permanently banned.

rating

We're a PG-13 board. We understand sex, drugs, swearing and violence are part of life, but let's just take it easy. Fade to black on sex scenes. Minimal drug use and swearing, please. Violence is allowed, but in moderation. Please be considerate of your fellow members and keep these activities to a minimum. Also, any use of the f-word and c-word will result in your post being edited.

respect

Respect your fellow members and your staff. Do not insult them or harass them. Drama in-character is welcome, but drama in real life is not fun.

advertising

1. For everyone's convenience, there are two advertising boards: First Timers and Link Backs. Any site found double posting, or posting in both boards will have all of their ads deleted.

2. No advertising or spamming in the c-box. You wouldn't like it if we went and did that on your site, so don't do it on ours.

activity

1. An activity check is held once a month. You are required to reply to the check or else all of your characters will be deleted. It is also an opportunity for you to drop characters if you want.

2. If you play any characters from a fandom, you are required to post at least once a week with them.

3. Please post in the away board if you will be gone for a while. It will save your accounts from being deleted.

general

All other site rules apply to both c-boxes. If rule-breaking in the c-boxes persists, both of them will be deleted.

ooc box

1. Guest are welcome to chat here.
2. If you're a member or plan on becoming one, please choose an alias and stick to it. Nothing vague like 'iluvjustinbieber.'
3. No advertising, spamming, or swearing here.

ic box

1. All accepted characters may use this box.
2. PG-13 rules apply.
3. No advertising or spamming, please.

limits

1. We have a six character limit here. This includes fandom canons and originals. If you have six and think you can handle more, talk to an admin.

2. You must role-play with your new character for at least two days before we will accept a new one from you.

3. You cannot play two characters from the same series unless one is in a original and doesn't have a close relationship with the canon of that same series you are playing.

crossovers

1. All movie/tv/anime/cartoon characters are acceptable. [See face claim rules]

2. Creatures like dragons, demons, aliens and were-animals are also acceptable. If you have any doubts about a creature, talk to Helper Monk or Admin.

face claims

1. The same actor may be used for all the roles he played, as well as one original. [Example: Orlando Bloom as both Will Turner and Legolas, plus an original.]

2. Your character must have a face claim (play-by) whether its a model you found on the net or some random actor. There must be a fact to go with the character. Oliver is the first keyword that goes in the bio

applications/reservations

Character reservations and work-in-progress applications will only last for two weeks. Speak to an admin if you want an extension.


claims

After being accepted, you are required to post in the Who Plays Who, Job/Title Claim and Face Claim threads before you are able to role-play.

relations

If you're making a character related to another fandom character, you need to run it by that character's player as well as the staff.

All ideas of marriage, children born into a couple or of a character must be run by the admin.

dropping

You are given the option to drop characters during the monthly activity check.

word count

We have a 250 word requirement here, which is like two decent-sized paragraphs. There's a handy word counter in the side table for your convenience.

god-modding

1. Unless given permission, you cannot control someone else's characters.

2. Along those lines, you cannot marry, kill, or get pregnant by another person's character without theirs and an admin's permission.

plotting

1. No plotting before your characters have been accepted.
2. Keep the plotting to the plot pages.
3. Feel free to say no to plot ideas you don't like.

mary-sues

We don't want them - or Gary-Stus, for that matter. No one is perfect, so your characters shouldn't be either. Make them have flaws. Please! Second word is Kadett

magic

1. Be creative when creating a character who possesses magic.

2. No one is truly immortal, or all-powerful. Make sure your character has weaknesses.

3. All magic comes with a price.



Graphics

1. You must have an avatar/icon. Size is 100x100

2. Banners must be 600x275 or they will be taken down.

All this is to keep the site looking uniformed and as nice as it does.
