Jarod walked around, as he saw an old-fashioned book store, as he stopped and looked at it, then he walked in side and looked around. He looked at all the books there, rather impressed but also surprised as he had no idea that people in that place loved to read, also it was rather good to know, for him at least. Jarod looked around, as he saw people walk in and out of the book store, as he smiled at that, rather impressed by the fact that it was popular, not just that it existed. He then looked around, as he took a book from each shelf, checked it and then put it away, as he tried to find a good one for him to read.

Jarod had no idea if he should buy something or not, also his money was slowly changing from money from his time, to money from this time and place, yet he had no idea yet. Since lately he only used his money twice so far, no more nor less. However, Jarod figured if he was there, then he might as well buy some books to read, because he had no idea for how long he was there, and he needed something to entertain himself, in case he couldn't go out for a walk or something like that. Besides Jarod loved books, and it didn't change now. He did wonder which books to buy, and which ones not to buy., yet he figured out that eventually he would end up figuring it all out. Jarod usually did, so he doubted he won't now, At least there were books around, that was already something.

He did wonder what books should he buy, which ones were any good. Also the books looked different, Than in Jarod's time but then again he wasn't surprised, because it was the past after all, and things in the past are always different, then in his time line. Anyway, he picked 2 books as he walked around with them as he looked towards the entrance when it seemed like someone walked in.

Gretel had just rode into town after catching her latest victim on the run. A man that was wanted for trying to murder the king, he tried to take off into the dark forest, but that was no challenge for her. She rode in, followed his tracks, and had him out in 3 days. He did put up a good fight though, she took a slash on the arm for it, yet it was worth it seeing him come in and let justice give him what's coming. She had him bound by his hands, and made him follow her every step as they came into town. People looked and stared, some pointing and back away, and some others sneered and spat at him. This was their beloved king he was going to kill, and they would spit on him for trying.

Gretel rode up to the sheriff, and threw the rope to him and turned Raven. " He's all yours Charles, see to it that justice is served," she said. He nodded, and she trotted away. Another bad man brought to justice. She loved her work. She stopped Raven, tying him to a hitch, and walked into the small town book store. The small bell chimed as she walked in, she lowered her hood, and her long braid cascaded down her shoulder. She took a peek around, and the book store owner gave her a little smile, " Welcome miss, is there anything I can help you find?" Gretel acknowledged him and said, " No thank you, I can manage," she replied softly. She slowly made her way around the small book store, and glanced at the small and large leather bounds books. She picked up one and started to glance at it's pages.

Jarod walked around the store, as he looked at all the books, after he gave up on checking who came in. He then stopped himself before he bumped in to someone. "Oh sorry, I am glad I saw you, before we bumped in to each other" Jarod said as he watched her. He then looked around and back at her. "I am Jarod by the way, and you are?" Jarod said to her, as he extended his free hand to her, to shake hers. If she agreed to shake hands with him. He looked down then back at her, as he smiled at her. Jarod wasn't pretending to be nice of course, he was actually nice to her. As that was exactly the way he always was, and the way he will always be, as he had no intention of changing for nothing, nor for anyone as he actually liked that about himself. Jarod had no doubt that e had that from his parents, just as he had other things from his parents, he was sure about that.

"Are you alright?" He asked her over sudden, as it seemed to him that something happened to her, or something like that. "Not really good with this books, but the ones on the left shelf from you, are the books that I believe are worth getting, but that's just me" Jarod said to her over sudden. "I checked those, right before you came in, and I do believe that they are a good books to read" he added, as he was only trying to help, as he hoped that se knew that. Jarod hoped that she was alright, as well as he hoped that what he just told he, would help her out, if not it was fine as he was only trying anyway. She in away reminded him of young Miss Parker, after they first met and even when they first met. Also the two were different too, of course and Jarod noticed that but that was besides the point. Anyway, he watched her as he waited for her to reply.
