The Future (Jareth)

Jareth was happy that he had had Sarah around him for such a long time. He couldn’t be any happier than what he was and he wondered if she knew that. He was in at a point in his life where he couldn’t live with out her and he didn’t know what he would do if he lost her. She is his everything and he always wanted to show her that over and over again. The Goblin King wondered if she was ready to spend forever with him, which to him wasn’t long at all.

The Goblin King was walking around the forest, trying to think of something he could do for Sarah, something he could say to her to show her how much he really liked her. He wasn’t an open person at all, and he knew that she knew that. It was one of his only flaws he guessed. The Goblin king stopped when he reached a small area that was growing flowers. He looked at them, they were ones he had never seen before. Gazing at them, the King smiled. He picked just one, no more, no less. One was all he really needed and she would love just one, or so he thought.

The Gobin King had transformed himself into an owl and gripped the flower’s stem as he flew out of the forest and for the Goblin Castle. He was really making the best out of being trapped here. He only wondered if Sarah was truly happy being here with him.

Jareth had flown in through the window where Sarah was and he transformed himself back and held the rose in his hand, just staring at her. “hello Sarah” Jareth simply stated with a smile.

Jareth stood there in the window still, holding the rose for Sarah, his Sarah Williams. He had watched her smile and she greeted him. The Goblin King had jumped down from the window sill and landed perfectly on his two feet. Jareth then walked closer to Sarah and he held the rose out for Sarah to take. He had a smile on his face and thought it would be something nice for her. He had then looked around the room and smiled. This was his home away from home and he was happy with it.

“I didn’t know if you liked roses or not. Found it growing in the forest and thought of you.” Jareth said, being completely honest. He had always viewed Sarah as delicate as a rose, as delicate as a flower. She was just as beautiful as one too. He loved her, and saw only the beauty in her, though it wasn’t always like that from the start.

Jareth had first met her, she was intolerable, or so he thought. She needed to learn a lot and going through his labyrinth, allowed her to do just that. She wasn’t the bratty kid that she used to be. She is now kinder, and more loving and had seduced him while he was trying to seduce her. The Goblin King wouldn’t take that back for the world though. It was one of the only times that he had actually been happier than before. He was always more happy when he was with Sarah, there was no doubt about it.

The Goblin King looked at Sarah curiously. She was watching him closely. He wondered why she was doing that. It wasn’t like he was going to hurt her so her watching him was just a little confusing. “is there something wrong, Sarah?” Jareth asked her curiously, still not understanding why she was watching him like that.

She did take the rose and she smiled. He loved seeing her smile. She told him that Roses were her favorite and she thanked him. “a flower for a flower.” he said to her, calling her a flower. She really was in his eyes, and that’s all that mattered. Sarah had then leaned in and kissed him and he kissed her back. He was happy that she wasn’t afraid to show him that she loved him. He really wished that he was more open to it, as in making the first move.

Sarah had then wrapped her arms around him and he had wrapped his around her, also returning the hug. She had pulled away after a few moments and he watched her place a hand on his cheek. Jareth just looked at her and he wondered what she really wanted now that he was here with her and he would never leave her. The Goblin King let out a soft, small sigh and he continued to think. There had to be something else that he could offer her. He just needed to know what that was.

“tell me, Sarah. What do you want more in this world? There has to be something else.” Jareth had asked her, waiting to see what she would say to him.

Jareth looked at Sarah. He rely enjoyed having her around and he was happy that he had fallen for her and not someone else. He couldn’t picture his life with out her and that was the truth. The Goblin King thought that things were perfect now, and he really didn’t need to be at home, to be at the Labyrinth for things to be perfect. Things were perfect with just Sarah. Jareth looked at her, wondering what she was thinking about. He had asked her what she wanted and he waited for the response she would give him. He wanted to give her the world, but that was hard when he didn’t know what she wanted. Sarah was always a hard person to read.

The Goblin King looked at her when she started speaking. She just said that she wanted to be the wife of someone and a mother to someone. She said that she had wanted it since she was young and she said that she didn’t know if that was what he meant. A smirk appeared on the Goblin Kings face. What she wanted, he would give her. He wanted her to be happy. He watched her as she looked down and she was blushing terribly.

“then be my wife, Sarah Williams.” Jareth said to her, his voice music like. He wondered if that would surprise her. He didn’t think it would because of the fact that he had been trying to seduce her for quite some time now.

Sarah had told him that she would be honoured to be his wife after a small silence. She looked surprised, she had smiled though and took his hand. The Goblin King smiled and thought that was it. He had gotten what he had wanted for so long, he wouldn’t have to try so hard anymore. The Goblin king felt that this was a happy time now. She would be with him forever and he with her. There was no happier thought than that.

He then listened to her as she spoke. She said that he had done everything for er, taking her brother, fixing time and turning the world upside down because he loved her. That was true. Everything he did then, he did for her. He even moved the stars and the heavens for her. She had told him that he didn’t know what she would do for him. That made him curious. She said that she is happy here and he liked that. He just wanted her happy. She then said she would do anything she possibly could for him. Yes, Jareth believed that. Sarah had then kissed him and he kissed her back.

Jareth thought that this moment couldn’t get any better. Sarah Williams to be his wife. He never pictured himself marrying a mortal, but that didn’t matter anymore. No one was here to tell him otherwise. Jareth had pulled her into a hug and smiled to himself. “we will be together forever.” Jareth said to her, resting his chin on her head.

The Goblin King looked down at Sarah Williams and he smiled. He was happy that she had said that she wanted to Mary him. He would do everything else for her. He would do more for her. All he wanted was her happiness, he was happy just having her with him. That was all he needed. He just needed Sarah and what ever she wanted and needed to be happy. If they ended up in his world again, he would be evermore happy, but the Goblin King was starting to forget about it, starting to think that they didn't need it and he loved being here with Sarah. At least here he had her.

Jareth had kissed the top of her head. He didn't care that she was mortal. He would just make the best of it while he could, he would give her the immortality. He did have the power to do that. He felt her hold him closer to her and he never wanted to let go of her.

"Now all we need to do is find your baby brother Toby. Then everything will be even more perfect." jareth said to her, a smile still showing on his face.

Every time he thought more and more about this, he got happier and happier. He finally knew what true happiness was like.

Jareth just loved having her in his arms. He couldn’t imagine his life wit out her now. The Goblin King wanted nothing more than her here with him. He couldn’t believe how much he had changed, finally able to show her his emotions, well some of them anyway. He still wouldn’t show her the worse ones that he had. He was still worried about being here in this world, something that he would never not worry about. He let out a sigh as he just thought about that. He shouldn’t be anyway. They were here safe in his castle, a castle that he had made his own.

Jareth looked at her when she had started speaking. She told him that she loved his smile and that she knew that his heart was truly good. She would be the only person to know that. Jareth wasn’t going to be one to go announce that to the world. She had also said that she feels happier that they are together and that she is curious about him. He really didn’t know what to say about that. He continued to listen as she talked on. She then said she would never flood him with questions and she said that she figured that they would be answered in due time. She told him she is patient and that she wants to solve him like a puzzle. He only chuckled at that. She would never be able to, but he would answer some of her questions.

“you can ask me questions Sarah.” Jareth said to her.

Jareth the Goblin King looked at her smiling face. He was glad that she was smiling. Her smile had lightened the room in a sense, made him happy. He loved how she nuzzled his chest and he just loved her in his arms and didn’t want to be with out that. He had waited for her to ask him some questions and he wondered what kinds of questions those would be. He wouldn’t not answer any of her questions though if it was a question he couldn’t answer, then he would simply tell her that.

Jareth looked at Sarah when she had asked her question. She asked why her, why he loved her so much. Jareth simply smiled at her. He knew that that would be one of the questions she would want to ask. He thought about what to say to her. He thought of how he would answer that but nothing came to his mind. Jareth let out a small sigh. “I can not answer that, because I do not know. All I do know is that you’re it.” Jareth replied to her hoping that would be enough. Why would she need to know that anyway? He shook his head.

Jareth looked at Sarah curiously. She spoke to him and he just stood there and listened to her. Jareth had walked over to his throne and he sat down, continuing to listen to the young girl, the young champion who had beaten the labyrinth. She told him that he had just fallen into her lap and that she didn't know what he saw in her and that she was a plain kind of girl. Jareth let out a sigh. How wrong she was.

"you are not a plain girl, Sarah." jareth simplyresponded to her, slouching on his throne. "there is a lot more to you than you make yourself believe." jareth then said other with a smile.

The goblin king had kicked his feet over the other arm rest of the chair and sat how a king wouldn't normally sit. He honestly didn't care either. Sarah had then asked him how old he is. She had also said that it didn't matter to her how old he really was butane was concerned about him being lonely for all those years.

"I am very old. You don't have to worry about that. I'm not alone anymore." jareth said to her with a smile.

The Goblin King was staring at his boot as his legs hung over the other side of his throne. He was actually pretty tired from what he had done earlier but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t just walk out on Sarah like that. He wanted to be here for her and listen to her speak and talk to her. She was pretty much all he had in this land, though some of the Goblins he knew from his home had come here and were hanging around the castle some where. He wouldn’t let them in here if it was him and Sarah. He also told them not to go near Sarah either. He knew what his Goblins were like and didn’t want them hurting Sarah. They wouldn’t defy him either. They knew the power that Jareth possessed and he would destroy them too. Jareth didn’t have emotion when it came to stuff like that.

He looked over at her as she had started talking again. Jareth smiled when she said that he could ask her anything, though he already knew a lot about her. She had went on and said that something told her he wasn’t with people in his world because they were all the same and that he found a mortal person unique and that she was starting to be able to read him.

“you are very unique Sarah, and yes people in my world are all the same. I wanted something different, someone different and I chose you. I watched you play with your toys and costumes and knew it was only a matter of time before we would meet face to face.” Jareth said to her with a smile.

Jareth sat on his throne, still staring at his boots that hung over the other arm rest of his throne. The Goblin King then looked over at Sarah, who was standing there. The young brunette girl appeared to be thinking. He loved it when she had that look on her face, though sometimes he really didn't want her to think so much. He always thought she over thought things.

Jareth had thought that it was a little too quiet in here now. He thought it would be nice for Sarah and he thought that it was just not his thing. The Goblin King actually enjoyed the noise and entertainment the other goblins gave him. There was still that little factor that he didn't know what would happen to Sarah if they were in here though. He was just doing this all for her own good.

She had told him that she was surprised that he watched her closely. Jareth looked over at her now, still more curious at what she had to say now. The Goblin King listened to her continue, her saying that she felt like someone was watching her but she had put it out of her head. Jareth shook his head. she then told him that a part of him had always stuck with her. She told him that all she wished was his happiness, and she said that she could tell he was happy by the look on his face. Yes, Sarah is right. Jareth is really happy that she is here with him now. He wouldn't have it any other way.

"my happiness doesn't matter. All that matters is that you are happy." The Goblin King said to Sarah. He then smiled. "Have I really?" Jareth then asked her about her saying that he had effected her more than she thought.

The Goblin King looked at Sarah and he smiled to her. She had started singing, which was something that the Goblin King enjoyed doing himself. He remembered singing to her baby brother, which made him stop crying. He wondered where Toby was and if the child would end up here as well. He knew that Sarah felt the same way. He could see it in her eyes. He wondered how much she worried, if it was anything like him worrying. He had worried about a lot of things but knew that he couldn’t let his guard down. Some of his Goblins had appeared here and that made him worry more. He wondered if someone had sent him here to take over his labyrinth. The Labyrinth would surely die without him being there. All he did was sit on his throne and worry. He didn’t want anything to happen to Sarah and he didn’t know what he would do if he had failed in protecting her and something very, very bad happened to her. He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself.

“what is the name of that song?” Jareth had asked the young brunette girl that he had taking a large liking to. The song she sung was sweet, nice. He enjoyed it, something that he didn’t get often. Jareth stood up and he walked over to the window as he had heard some commotion outside. He looked down at the Goblins that were around the castle. They were noisy, something that the Goblin King didn’t mind at all.
