The Goblin King stopped walking when Sarah had. She had rested her hands on his chest and he didn’t move, allowing her to keep them there. He would allow her to do what she wanted, if it helped her believe that he was actually here and this was all real. She spoke about how she remembered that no one was around. He laughed a little when she said that the ones she met were colourful and that it was very different and exciting. Yes he knew what she meant. It was how he viewed her world too, though more different than him getting excited over it. He let out a chuckle when she said that she was thick headed back then.
“same boat?” Jareth asked, wondering what she was referring to, and he probably figured it out. Them both being in this new land. He let out a small sigh. He didn’t like to be reminded. Their time together would be more perfect if he was home in the Labyrinth.
“you met most of them when I ordered them to stop you from reaching the castle. Those buffoons couldn’t do just that either.” Jareth shook his head with a small smile on his face. “sometimes Im glad they didn’t stop you. I think that things have worked out for the best.” Jareth had looked down at Sarah and he had placed his hand on the side of her head. He just couldn’t stop looking into her hazel eyes. He would have never guessed that this would happen, after what he had put her through in the Labyrinth.

She needed to stop doing what she was doing, reminding him about everything. So she smiled and it was really happy and holding his hand she wanted to give him something special but couldn't think about it, thinking about everything she took a deep breath and let it out, and looking up at him she smiled a little bit. Thinking of everything that was going on in her head as everything seemed nice and pretty soon hardly anyone was around which seemed nice, it was nice and quite. She leaned her head against his arm and was really happy about everything.
"I know time moves much differently here its really weird, its almost like there is more then twenty four hours in a day. Or maybe that I am just bored I don't know, I was about to go get some lunch before I saw you as an owl which I have to say you make a beautiful owl. If you would care to join me, the food here is actually really good. And it will also help to try and be a bit friendly to at least someone, maybe find out information about this place" She suggested.

Jareth had smiled to Sarah. She seemed so happy. that’s all he wanted for her is her to be happy. that’s all he really wanted to offer her. He had from the start, from the moment she had wished her brother away to the moment she had defeated him in the Escher room of his castle. He had let her go so that she could be happy and now they were here together and it made him happy as well as her. She had leaned against his arm and he smiled. Jareth leaned down and he kissed her forehead.
She spoke about time here and how slow it seemed to go. Well hopefully he would help make the time go faster, he had the ability to do that, literally. She had mentioned lunch and how she was about to go get some as well as him making a beautiful owl. The Goblin King wondered if she had ever noticed him before. He wondered if she had noticed him before she had met him face to face. He watched her in the park the night she had wished her brother away. Jareth thought it was amusing that she did what she did. He actually enjoyed watching her. He knew she was going to be the one.
“Lunch sounds good. Where do you go to get it?” Jareth asked her curiously. He wondered what they had to eat here, if it would be like what he had at his kingdom, in his home. “lead the way, Sarah.” Jareth then said to her as he allowed her to lead him to this place that they would get something to eat.

Sarah nodded some and since she had money she would be able to get both of them lunch. So squeezing his hand lovingly within her own she began to walk through the market and to a little cafe and it was always very popular with those who lived here. She stopped for a moment seeing where she worked and pointed out she worked at the Inn since she got there, since she couldn't just live with anyone had no one to live with. She continued again looking as people looked at them every once in a while. It was nice to relax.
"Here is the place I was talking about, I found it first day I started working at the Inn. This place has everything you could think of, then again I don't know what you normally eat. Me I am actually not a picky eater and will eat what ever is available. I am adventurous love to try new things as well. Which is good, Toby was the one in the family who was picky eater. When he was old enough to eat baby food my god he was picky, hated peas and carrots. But he was always funny like that as well"
She chuckled happily as she opened up the door for him then went to get her usual table, a waitress smiled at her and she smiled back. They did not exactly know each other. But they would be friendly and they meant it, sitting down she sat back relaxing a little bit. The waiter came over making sure that the table was cleaned up and put two menus one in front of each and took off so they could look at the food. Sarah smiled at Jareth and looked down at the menu, thinking about what she was in the mood for.

Jareth smiled to her and she then started leading him through the market place. Jareth stopped beside Sarah when she had stopped walking. Jareth looked over when she pointed out where she was working. He wondered why she was and realized it was probably because of money. From what he understood people needed money to survive. He never had to since he is a king back in his world and his family being of royal decent.
Jareth listened to her talk. She said that she was working at the inn and that’s how she found the place. Jareth looked down at her as she continued to speak and how she spoke of Toby. He smiled. “well, we will have to fix that wont we Sarah?” Jareth commented on Toby being a picky eater. He was getting used to the idea of him and Sarah raising Toby as their own child. He wondered how Toby would take it. Its been a long while since the Goblin King had seen the boy.
“do you enjoy…Work?” Jareth asked her curiously. He wondered what that was like. Humans did it all the time and he hardly qualified his job in the Goblin Castle as work. It was a job but not like what humans did to make money. It was foreign to him, though the Goblin King was eager to learn.
The two walked up to the café and Sarah had opened the door for them. They walked in and he waited for her to sit down before he did. It was the polite thing to do. Jareth looked at the menu and didn’t know what some of the food that sounded strange to him. He then looked over at Sarah. “order for me.” He simply stated to her.
Jareth looked back down at the menu. “tell me about your work.” Jareth asked her, not even looking up at her.

Sarah smiled and was really surprised when he told her to order for him. She had never eaten with him and had no idea what he liked, and looking at the menu she noticed everything and decided to try to order for him. When the waitress came by she ordered two orders of fries, two cheeseburgers and some ice tea. The waitress smiled at both of them taking there menus and she returned two minutes later with there ice tea. Sarah sat back as she took the straw out of the wrapper and put it in the glass.
Then Jareth had asked about her work and smiled at him "It's actually rather fun, least to me. Its rather humbling, life is difficult but for those who have money some people just don't know what struggling is. But your not like that, you seem to really care about how I am feeling like you are happy when I am happy. Your sad when I am, you seem to really want to understand. Which is rather nice, The Inn is rather simple. Just making sure to make beds, make sure there are towels in the bathroom. And to make sure people are comfortable"

Jareth listened as she ordered his food. She had looked surprised when he had asked her to do it. Jareth didn’t have the slightest of what to order and if Sarah ordered food that she believed was good, then Jareth would give it a try. The waitress had returned to give them a glass of a brownish colored drink. Jareth just sat there and stared at it. He picked the glass up and drank a little bit, deciding that it had a good taste to it, he decided to drink a little more.
Jareth placed the glass down when she started talking about work. So she found it fun. Would that mean that she wouldn’t want to leave here if he had gotten a castle some where else? Jareth was already worried about that now. He didn’t want her to leave him. Not after he had just gotten her. Jareth listened to her speak about how he seemed to really care about how she is feeling. He knew that to be true. He was so in tune to Sarah it was rather ridiculous, but ridiculous in a good way. He loved the young girl and wouldn’t let her slip through his fingers again. Jareth listened to her talk about how she had to make beds, make sure there were towels in bathrooms and make sure that people are comfortable. It sounded like boring work to the Goblin King.
“would you leave it all though, Sarah?” Jareth asked her curiously. “when I acquire a castle, would you leave your job to come stay with me there?” Jareth asked Sarah curiously. He needed to know. It would bother the Goblin King if he didn’t.

She watched him study the drink and giggled a little bit enjoying the way he looked at it, almost like he was afraid to drink it. And smiled when he seemed to like it, so that was one thing he liked so in the back of her head she had a check list and hoped that he would like the food as well, since it was a simple order. She took the lemon on the side of her glass and squeezed it giving it a more lemon flavor. But then she heard his question about her leaving her job, she smiled a bit.
"Of course I would happily leave my job to live with you, I pretty much would let my life go upside down if you asked. But yes I would leave it and I honestly wouldn't miss it, its fun to have it while I can have it. But honestly I think living with you would be fun as well Jareth, we have an adjustment period I am sure. Once you get your castle, then I would move in and see how we do living together. But I have a feeling we will be just fine. And I am glad you like the drink, its Iced Tea"

Jareth didn’t notice that Sarah was looking at him as he studied the drink before he had tasted it. She seemed rather pleased that he liked it in the end. Jareth watched her as she took the lemon from the glass and squeezed it into the drink to give it a more lemon taste. Jareth wondered if that made it better but he didn’t do it. The Goblin King didn’t want to ruin a drink that already tasted good.
Jareth was pleased at what the young woman said to him. She told him that she would leave her job to be with him. He could now not worry about loosing Sarah. She had told him that she wouldn’t miss it and that its fun while she has it. She told him that living with him would be fun as well. Jareth couldn’t help but smile at her words. He couldn’t wait for it now. He couldn’t wait for the two of them to find a place of their own, like he had offered to her back when she was solving his Labyrinth but refused it.
“iced tea? Its different. A good different.” Jareth replied to her with a smile.
He just sat there, staring at her. The Goblin King didn’t know what it was about Sarah that made him like her so much. He wondered if it really mattered in the end. The Goblin King had smiled. “I don’t see a problem with us living together. What kind of problems are you talking about, Sarah? Problems that involves fighting?” Jareth had asked her curiously.

Sarah smiled at him and placed her hand on one of his and squeezed it, but thinking about them living together seemed really nice. She had wanted to belong to someone and she belonged with him now. She put one leg over the other and was glad that they got this chance to really get to find out about each other. But then he asked what kind of problems, she didn't let her smile fade as she looked back at her parents fighting.
"Well I am not saying we will have problems at all, since not every couple is like my parents. But my parents did a hell of a lot of fighting, I remember when Toby was born and I was five minutes late and I made my parents late for there date. They yelled at me, sent me to my room and then I heard them yelling at one another, saying I wasn't responsible. Everyone is different, so I'm not exactly worried about us.
I mean I love you and you love me and we are both open minded so as I said not really worried about it, just will be nice. Kinda wish my parents were here so I can rub it in there noses that finally I found a man that loved me for me. Mom use to say I was plain and no man would want me. But I guess in time we will see who comes here. Since something tells me there is a lot more to this place then meets the eye"

Jareth had kept his hand rested on the table and he looked at Sarah as she placed her hand on top of his and she squeezed it. He could get used to the idea of having someone, having a companion with him in the lonely halls of his castle, it was almost something he knew he was looking for. Jareth loved the sound of it, the sound of having someone with him. Jareth looked at her and he watched her smile fade. Did he say something wrong? The Goblin King was looking at her seriously now, wondering what the brunette girl was thinking.
Sarah spoke to him about her father and step mother fighting. She told him a story and she said that everyone was different but she said she wasn’t worried about them. She didn’t have to be. He was faithful to her and will always remain that way. She had went on and told him that she loves him and he loves her and that they were both open minded. She then wished that she could rub it in that she found Jareth, who loves her for who she is. He smiled. It was true. He did love her for her. She then said that something tells her that there is a lot more to this place then meets the eye.
“parents will be parents and after that trip you took through the Labyrinth to save Toby? If that wasn’t being responsible, I don’t know what is.” Jareth said trying to cheer Sarah up. “indeed, Sarah, there is no need to worry about us. I will never do anything to harm you nor will I ever let anything harm you.” Jareth said to her seriously. He meant every word of that too. He would know what he would do with himself if he let her get hurt.
“we need to be cautious here. Unfamiliar surroundings is never good.” Jareth said to her, warning her of potential danger.

She could smell there food coming so she squeezed his hand once more and let him go, there meal was placed right in front of each of and she smiled. She took the ketchup and removed the top and hit the bottom of it as it came out and she smiled a bit at him. And looking up at him she couldn't help but chuckle a little at him. Thinking about last time she came here she got ketchup all over the place, that was embarrassing.
"I know you won't hurt me, and I would never hurt you either. We are starting fresh Jareth, I wont be unfaithful to you and I know you will not be unfaithful to me. We will live happily ever after, least that is how the end of my own personal journey will be. Any way I had no idea what kinds of food you liked Jareth or frankly what you ate in your kingdom. So I stuck with french fries and a cheese burger and a pickle.
I have had a lot of burger's in my life and I have to say the food here is excellent. And you are right I keep my guard up since god only knows what kinds of people are here. I have heard though there is a woman to be worried about, she is known as the Evil Queen but her civilian name she goes by is Regina Mills. I hear she is beautiful but manipulate so I hope she doesn't try anything with you or I will kill her myself. "

The Golblin King watched as she let go of his hand. He didn’t see why until his food had come with hers. He watched her with the ketchup bottle and then looked at his own burger. This wasn’t what they had back in his land but he would give it a try anyway. Sarah seemed to like it so maybe he will too.
Sarah told him that she knew he wouldn’t hurt her and she wouldn’t hurt him either. He really hoped so. Jareth wanted the best for the brunette girl in front of him. She said that they were starting fresh and he understood what she was saying. They seemed to be starting over. It was almost as if her journey through the Labyrinth was won by him in the end, since they are together right now and they are both in love with each other. She mentioned living happily ever after and the Goblin King nodded. This will be their personal happily ever after, not to be ruined by anyone.
Sarah then went on and told him that she didn’t know what kinds of food Jareth liked so she stuck with French fries and a burger. He looked at the food again and he picked the burger up. He knew that this was a very popular thing to eat in her world, he just never got around to trying it. Jareth took a bite out of the burger, chewed and swallowed. The texture was something that the Goblin King could live with out but the burger itself tasted good.
He nodded at her when shes said that she needed to keep her guard up. She then went on and talked about an evil queen named Regina Mills. Jareth grew curious. Sarah then went on and said that she would kill this Regina if she tried anything with Jareth.
“now, now. Think logically and rationally. Besides, I would like to see her powers in comparison to mine.” Jareth said to her. He took another bite of the burger and he then looked at Sarah. “don’t worry. Your happily ever after is right around the corner Sarah. Things are almost perfect.” Jareth then smiled to her.

Sarah smiled at Jareth as she was eating like a lady would, sitting back as she dipped her fries in the ketchup and sighed a bit. She said she would kill the woman, but knew she couldn't. It was more like a statement of love, she would never do it because she lacked any power. Which made her feel so helpless at times, she smiled at him. Thinking of a few things and decided to let him know what she meant.
"I wouldn't actually try to hurt her Jareth, since I know I have no magic myself. So I am pretty much useless, I think you would meet your match with her. She has been known to corrupt hearts, she doesn't love anyone but herself. She put a curse on a kingdom because she got pissed about something a queen did to her. She is pure evil and just promise me Jareth if you meet up with her, you will be very careful around her"
Sarah was actually really happy, then in the back of her mind she always wondered how old Jareth was. If he was immortal he could be a thousand years old and she would never know it, but she would never ask him either. Her mind was going all over the place as she took out her burger and began to chew down her meal enjoying the taste of it. She was glad that she could share with him some things.

Jareth looked at Sarah to see her reaction to what he had said. She sat there, eating, and he had noticed her sighing. Jareth looked down at the food she had ordered for him and he picked up the cheeseburger again and took another bite. Jareth liked the flavors that this burger had. It still wouldn’t have been his first choice for something to eat but it was good none the less.
The Goblin king looked up from his food as she spoke. He picked up the drink again and took a sip, listening to her and still looking into her hazel eyes. She spoke about the queen, how evil she was and how she didn’t love anyone but herself. The thing that caught the Goblin kings attention was the queens ability to be able to corrupt hearts. That was highly unusual. Jareth knew how to seduce people to an extreme, but corrupting the heart in general? That was very, very interesting. She then told him to be careful if he had ever met up with her.
“don’t worry about me Sarah.” Jareth said to her, knowing that he could take care of her and him. Through her smiles and everything, he wondered how worried and afraid she really was. He wouldn’t blame her for it either. He was a little nervous being in this place, not being in control of the situation that he was in.
Jareth looked back down at his food and he picked up one of the things that she called a French fry. He stared at it, still unsure of how he would like it. It had an odd name, but so did everything else it would appear. Jareth took a bite from it. It wasn’t as good as the burger, but not bad.

Sarah watched him eat and could tell he was a bit satisfied but she had no idea what he ate in his world. So she just put what she liked, and sighing happily she began to think of a million things and then grinning a little as she took some more fries eating it and was really happy. But hearing that he would be okay, she hoped he was right. He wouldn't be the only person who had powers, if she showed up.
"I trust you Jareth but I still can't help to worry, I mean if I didn't worry about you. Wouldn't you feel strange about me not worrying? Those who love each other worry about the other every so often. I just hope she doesn't show up, nothing wrong with just wishing right? Course then again we all know what wishing got me, got me a journey to a different world and got me here with the man I love most of all" She chuckled.

Jareth looked at Sarah and noticed she was watching him eat. He didn’t really care, he just wondered what the young girl was thinking about. He picked the drink up once more and he started drinking from it. It was cold to the taste which was something he never thought tea would be. The Goblin King put it down and looked over at her.
He still wondered if she was nervous about this Queen she was speaking of. She didn’t have to be. If this so called Queen had come here as well, he wouldn’t want anything to do with her anyway. He also wouldn’t want Sarah anywhere near her either. If she could corrupt hearts, he wouldn’t want that fate to fall on the girl he had feelings for, his one true weakness of his heart. He would probably take her arrival very seriously.
Jareth look at Sarah. She told him that she couldn’t help it. She then asked him if he would feel strange about her not worrying. Jareth shook his head. She then said that two people who love each other should worry about each other every so often. She then went on and said that there was no problem with wishing that she doesn’t show up.
“it wouldn’t feel strange at all having you not worry. I don’t want you to worry, just be happy.” Jareth smiled to her. He then ate another fry and he nodded about her last statement. “and it was the best wish I have ever granted.” Jareth said to her with a smirk appearing on his face.

Sarah smiled at him and chuckled a bit he truly was rather unique and that was one of the reasons that she liked him. She had finished up her burger and had a feeling next time he would want to order since he didn't seem to care for what he was eating. And she smiled a bit more hearing what he said as she sipped her iced tea silently. Her brown eyes looking up into his own eyes and was rather satisfied.
"Yes well perhaps I am just old fashioned or perhaps I haven't been with a guy and you are the first and plan to be the only one. But I make do with what I have here, what would you like to do now Jareth? Still a lot to look at or can try and get comfortable where you can stay with me till you get your own castle. And then once you get it, I will happily move. You wont hear a complaint out of my mouth Jareth"
She said with a big smile on her face, she didn't know how long it would take for him to get a castle of his own but had a feeling it would take him a while. And reaching over the table she took his hand and showed him just how much he meant to her and it was all worth it. She wasn't nervous around him any more, no longer hiding from him and she was rather open with him which was a bit new to her as well.

Jareth looked at Sarah as she chuckled at him. He didn’t understand why she was but he would just shrug it off. Jareth had pushed the rest of his food off to the side. He really wasn’t all that hungry to begin with. He had also finished the iced tea and he looked over at her.
Sarah told him that she said that she was probably old fashioned or maybe she hadn’t been with a guy before and Jareth was her first and she planned on him being the only one. Jareth smiled to her. She was going to be his one and only. He had always made her his world, even when she refused him, but now things were different. Now everything had been played and the truth has come out. They both liked each other and there was nothing more to that. Sarah then said that he could stay with her until he had gotten his own castle. The Goblin King looked at her and smiled.
“you are too kind, Sarah.” Jareth had replied to her. He took her hand as she took his and he smiled to her. Things should only look up from here. “I don’t plan on it taking too long to get a castle. Once that is done you wont have to worry about anything for a long time. We can live in peace together.” Jareth said to Sarah with a smile.
The Goblin King would at least know that she would be safe there, that she would be treated the way that he had always wanted to see her treated, as a princess.

Sarah loved it when he smiled and laughed more with her then at her, since she knew he wasn't that cruel with her. Though she had no idea if he gave her special feelings, or if he was this caring and not cruel with his friends. Though something told her he didn't exactly have friends, perhaps some people in his kingdom were afraid of him. Afraid of what he could do to people if he wanted to, and that did not scare her in the least.
"Next time we order you can pick what you want, I have no idea what food you eat in your world but things are much different here. I use to eat burgers and fries back in my world at least once a week. But I am just happy to share what my favorite food was on the menu, since everyone has much different tastes and you proved that tonight. I could tell you were not all that happy with the fries, which is fine"
She said with a huge look on her face, crossing her arms over her chest as the waiter came over with the check and she grabbed it. Seeing how much it was she smiled and took out her wallet, paying for it with exact change and then she even gave the waitress that served them a rather nice tip. Since she could afford it, she may have not been making a lot of money but she was living rather comfortable for the time being.

The Goblin King looked at her. He really wondered what was so special about Sarah that made him like her more than any one else that he had met. It was just her. Was it because he had found her so interesting or if there was something else. He didn’t know what to think about it. All he knew was that he liked her and he wanted her to be with him forever that much he knew for sure. The young Sarah Williams made his heart ache. It wasn’t in a bad way, not anymore, it was more in a good way. Sarah was all that he had right now and he wouldn’t let her slip away from him again, unless she wanted to.
Sarah had told him that next time he could pick. Jareth just shrugged. He didn’t know anything so he wondered if she would even like what he picked. “no. I don’t want to pick something that you don’t like. I really could care less what I eat.” Jareth shrugged, and she just smiled at her. “this burger was enjoyable.” Jareth said to her.
The Goblin King watched her pay for the meal and he watched the waitress leave. Jareth stood up and he waited for Sarah. He would follow her out.
“where do you want to go now Sarah?” Jareth asked her curiously. He would probably have to leave her for a short time as much as he hated it. He needed to find an acceptable place.

Sarah walked out with him and looked up seeing it looked like a storm was coming, so decided she wanted to show him something. And motioned for him to follow her, she headed back to where she was living and where he would live least for now. Since the place was big enough for two people, more then big enough actually. On the way there she was thinking of what to say or what to do right then.
"I have something I want to show you, so you will need to bare with me and hope you will be happy at least long enough till you get a place you will feel more at home with. But really we have a saying in my world Jareth, and it maybe a stupid saying but it always meant a lot to me. Home is where the heart is, and I highly agree with that. Course there is another saying, mom use to tell me a place for everything and everything in its place"
She shrugged at that saying and smiled a little bit, and thinking of what she was going to show him. Once she got to where it was she took out a little black pouch and took out a feather and showed it to him wondering if he would recognized it. It was one of his owl feathers that he left when she defeated him and actually made it into a necklace and smiled at him waiting to see what he would say. "Recognize it?"

Jareth had looked up at the sky to see what Sarah was looking at. There were clouds and he knew that that meant that there was a storm coming. He liked rain, but the only time he hadn’t was when he was an owl and had to fly in it. Rain made it almost impossible for him to fly. Jareth looked back down at Sarah who was walking and motioned him to follow her. He did just that. Jareth strode in the same way that he had been walking to follow her. He walked with her until they reached what appeared to be a nice small quiet place. The Goblin King tilted his head at it as he moved closer to it.
Jareth looked back at Sarah when she said that she had something to show him. She said that she had told him that she hoped he would be happy here at least until he got his own place. She told him that home is where the heart is. That made a lot of sense. Anywhere she was, he felt like he was home as long as he was by her side and she was by his. “yes, that does make sense.” Jareth replied to Sarah.
He looked as she pulled out a black pouch and took out a feather to show him. Jareth stared at it and he indeed recognized it. It was one of his feathers, one of his owl feathers. Jareth looked back over at her. “how long have you had that and why do you have that?” Jareth asked her curiously.

Sarah was glad it made sense to him about home was where the heart was, and then when she showed him she had his feather she smiled hearing what he said to her. Perhaps this was good or bad she did not know, running her fingers over the feather she smiled. She loved animals and owls were her favorite, anything to do with Owls. But it meant more because it got her thinking really, he asked why in the world she had it.
She blushed a little bit and knew that she would have to explain it, so thinking for just a quick second on how to explain it to him. So she would not sound so damn stupid. "Well when you left my room it fell off before you took of to your home, always had a thing about birds. I use to collect feathers I found on the ground, I had a lot in my collection, but this feather I held close to my heart, hope that doesn't seem weird" Sarah blushed a bit.

The Goblin King looked at Sarah and he had then looked back at the feather. He just wondered why she would even hang on to the feather in the first place. Maybe she really did care for him back then, but for obvious reasons she needed to leave him to save her brother. Jareth watched her looked down and run her fingers over the feather.
He looked at her as some pinkness appeared in her cheeks. He knew that it probably was going to embarrass her, him asking her about it. The Goblin King looked at her as she started to explain it. She told him it fell off him when he had left her room. She said she used to collect feathers and that she held his close to his heart. Jareth only looked at her and smiled. “I have a question for you Sarah.” Jareth had said to her, as he moved a bit closer to her. “why havent you wished me back sooner if you missed me as much as you have implied?” Jareth wasn’t angry or anything, he was just completely curious.
Jareth looked around the place. Yes it was a tad small but it was nice for the time being. He knew that it was more nice in a sense that he was with Sarah and this place was just something that was here in the moment. It was temporary but the love that he felt for Sarah was forever.
